Every MLB team is in action tonight, with some juicy matchups all around the league. Can Tyler Glasnow keep up his stellar work against a pesky Marlins lineup? Can the White Sox cool off Cody Bellinger? And how will Andrew Abbott fare in his fourth start against the Brewers?
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for Tuesday, July 25th's MLB action.
This Season: 56-70

Glasnow has been very good this season, striking out at least six batters in every single one of his starts. Yet, this number is too high against a team like the Miami Marlins.

This Season: 56-70

Glasnow has been very good this season, striking out at least six batters in every single one of his starts. Yet, this number is too high against a team like the Miami Marlins.
The Marlins are 24th in the league in strikeouts, and they are fourth in the league in batting average. They aren't a power team, but they make a lot of contact up and down the lineup. Glasnow struck out nine in his last appearance, but even if he was consistently striking out nine per game, this number would be too high against this lineup.
Are we jumping on the wagon a game too late? Possibly, but the way Bellinger is hitting right now, he needs to be a part of most PrizePicks tickets. Bellinger has hit safely in seven consecutive games, and he has multiple hits in five of those seven contests.
In the month of July, Bellinger has not hit safely in just two games. Perhaps the law of averages states that he's bound for a bad day, but this is a hitter who is just operating on another level right now. Tonight, he will face Michael Kopech, a pitcher who has had control issues over the last month. If Bellinger isn't walking around the bases, then he will go over this total bases number that should be higher.
Tonight will mark the fourth time Abbott has faced the Milwaukee Brewers this season. In his first start against the team, he struck out six in 6.0 innings. In his second start, he was much less effective throughout 4.1 innings, but he still struck out six. In his third start, which came just 10 days ago, he struck out only three in 6.0 innings.
All of this is to say the Brewers have seemed to figure out Abbott. Even in his second start, when he struck out six, he gave up six runs on nine hits. He had a totally different approach in game three, and while it worked for him, it didn't result in many strikeouts. Even if Abbott is on tonight, strikeouts will not be how he beats the Brewers.
