Houston Astros vs. Baltimore Orioles (Game 2)
- Leg 1: Gunnar Henderson Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)
- Leg 2: Adley Rutschman Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
- Leg 3: Brandon Young Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+110)
The Houston Astros will pitch Lance McCullars Jr. today. The right-hander has allowed a .241 ISO and a wOBA of .393 to 64 lefties this season. He’s also walked 12.3% of lefties and has struck out just 20.3% of lefties this year. In addition, he’s allowed a 14.6% barrel rate against lefties and nearly 27% of line drives.
Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman should take advantage. Henderson has hit a .253 ISO and a wOBA of .328 against righties this season. Rutschman has slugged a .324 ISO and a wOBA of .514 against righties this year.
On the other hand, it’ll be Brandon Young for the Orioles on the mound. He’s contributed just 16.3% of strikeouts this season, including only 13.6% against lefties. He’ll face an Astros lineup that has struck out just 17.5% of the time against righties to start the season. The Astros’ projected lineup only has two batters with high strikeout rates against righties.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins
- Leg 1: Kevin Gausman Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-114)
- Leg 2: Jesus Sanchez Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)
- Leg 3: Daulton Varsho Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)
The Toronto Blue Jays will roll with Kevin Gausman tonight. He’s been tremendous, holding 138 batters to a .115 ISO and a wOBA of .247. Additionally, he’s added 27.5% of strikeouts, including 32.8% of strikeouts against righties. He’ll take on at least four righties when he faces the Twins tonight. Plus, the Twins’ projected lineup has four players who have struck out at least 28.2% of the time against righties this season.
Meanwhile, Bailey Ober will pitch for the Twins. The righty hasn’t had success against lefties this season. Instead, he’s allowed a .192 ISO with only 15.3% of strikeouts against lefties. He’s only allowed a .195 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), but eventually that number will rise if he continues to allow 39.5% of fly balls to lefties.
Jesus Sanchez has smoked a .203 ISO and a wOBA of .337 against his last 83 righties faced, while Daulton Varsho has hit a .147 ISO and a wOBA of .313 with only 18.7% of strikeouts against righties. Take those two to have solid nights at the plate.
