We had our first mediocre day in a while for the Sleeper series, going 1-2 on Thursday. All but two teams play this Friday, presenting a plethora of player prediction options to choose from for today. Here are three of my favorites for Friday, April 26.

Friday’s Best MLB Sleeper Picks Player Predictions
Sleeper Record: 42-23
ZachEflin hasn’t been at his best just yet, but guess what? The White Sox have been even worse. They are dead last in wRC+ (65) and batting average (.192) when facing right-handed pitching. Fourteen of the 21 right-handed starters to face them have stayed under this mark. At this price, Eflin is worth the shot after last season’s performance. He ranked in the top 93rd percentile in xERA, 95th in chase% and 76th in xBA.
It’s the Detroit Tigers. There isn’t that much more to say. Their 89 wRC+ is the eighth-lowest against righties. Fourteen of the 20 right-handed starters to square off against them have stayed under this line. Seth Lugo isn’t an elite pitcher by any means, but he can get it done against inferior opponents. He has failed to eclipse this mark in four out of five starts, including an outing against the Astros where he went six innings while allowing two earned runs. We need something for the early afternoon game, so here it is.
Since his opening start to the season, Bailey Ober has allowed just two earned runs across 17 innings. There was a reason why he was a sleeper pick in fantasy leagues this season. Aside from Mike Trout, and maybe Taylor Ward, the Angels’ lineup isn’t anything to be worried about. They have picked it up as of late on offense, but are still just 19th in wRC+ (98) against righties. Only seven of the 22 right-handed starters to face them have allowed 3+ earned runs. Ride the hot hand with Ober and take the less than here.
