Free-throw attempts is a unique market starting to grow on me. It does not matter if Chet Holmgren knocks them down; we just need him to get to the line.
Holmgren has attempted three or more free throws in 73% of games this season, in all five playoff games and four out of five contests against the Nuggets.
Jalen Brunson did score 39 points in Game 1, but Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for only 22 points. Bridges and Towns should return to their normal form this go around and cut into Brunson’s scoring.
Brunson has scored 22+ points in nine out of 10 games going back to last season against the Celtics. He has only missed this line once in the playoffs - in the only game he took fewer than 20 shots.
Christian Bruan has cleared this number in four of the last five playoff games. For the playoffs, he is averaging a solid 39 minutes per game, giving him plenty of opportunity.
Braun has exceeded this number in all five games against the Thunder this season, including 33.1 fantasy points in Game 1.
Jayson Tatum is averaging 21.6 field-goal attempts in the playoffs and cleared this number in four out of five games. The game he did not exceed this number was a 31-point win against the Magic.
Against the Knicks, Tatum is averaging 21.8 attempts and cleared this number in three out of five games, including in Game 1.
