Tuesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 11-6
The Cavaliers might be 15-0, but their three-point defense is one of the worst in the league. They're allowing opponents to knock down 14.0 shots from beyond the arc per game. They're also allowing the third-highest three-pointer percentage in the league, as opponents are making 37.8% of their attempts from deep.
White has made two three-pointers in back-to-back games, but he's also averaging 3.8 makes from deep per game this season. He has made seven three-pointers twice in his last six games and at least four in seven of his 14 contests.
What makes me confident in this play tonight is that White is averaging 9.4 attempts from three-point range per game. He's shooting 40.5% from deep. In a good matchup, he should improve upon the 6-of-21 shooting he's seen over the last two games.
After four consecutive games with at least 10 rebounds, LeBron James pulled down only seven in his last game. Despite that lackluster performance, he's averaging 8.6 boards per game this season and 9.8 per game in November. Yet, the less than is the right play tonight, because he's only gone over 8.5 rebounds in one game outside of the previously mentioned four-game stretch.
The Jazz are allowing the 10th-fewest rebounds in the league this year. Opponents are pulling down just 51.2 per game against them. In the last three contests, the Jazz are allowing just 46.7 per game. James has seven or fewer rebounds in seven of his 13 games. Though he's had a great month, he's pulled down more than 8.5 rebounds in only half of his eight games.
Look for him to go just under his season average in a tough matchup tonight.
Grant Williams is averaging fewer than two assists per game in November. He's yet to dish out more than three assists in a single game this month, and he's assisted on two or fewer baskets in seven of his last nine games.
Williams had performances with five and six assists in two of his first four games. If it wasn't for those contests, his season average would be below two per game. He's played in 13 games and has recorded more than 2.5 assists in just four games. Though the Nets allow a lot of assists per game, Williams isn't the one who's going to take advantage of the matchup.
