Portland Trail Blazers (-180) at Sacramento Kings (+152) | O/U 239.5 (-110/-110)

The Trail Blazers (11-16) and Kings (6-21) meet at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento at 10 p.m. EST in the second end of a home-and-home.

Portland won 134-133 in overtime on Thursday night in a very exciting game, so what can we expect in the encore in California’s capital city?

Sacramento hit 51% (48-of-94) from the field in Thursday’s game, while landing 32% (6-of-19) from behind the 3-point line. The Kings were on point from the free-throw line, too, going 91% (31-of-34), while managing 42 rebounds, which was just minus-2 in that department, while posting a plus-1 differential in turnover margin.

Kings F Maxime Raynaud managed 29 points (10-of-20) from the field, as he and Precious Achiuwa are leaned upon in frontcourt with Domantas Sabonis (knee) and Drew Eubanks (thumb) continuing to miss time. Doug McDermott (knee) is also a question mark, while swingman Zach LaVine (ankle) is also out. DeMar DeRozan has been having a renaissance, too, going for 33 points (10-of-16) with 3-of-4 from downtown, and a perfect 10-of-10 from the stripe. Russell Westbrook dished out 10 dimes on Thursday, while Raynaud led the way with 11 rebounds. Keegan Murray made his presence felt with four blocks, too.

For the Blazers, Deni Avdija rolled up a game-high 35 points on 12-of-19 shooting, and he made 12 trips to the charity stripe, knocking down 10 shots, including the winners in the extra session. Shaedon Sharpe is also stepping up his play lately, going for 26 points on 11-of-22, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc. Jerami Grant dropped 20, as well, including three triples with nine rebounds, five assists and a block.

Portland has won three of the past four meetings, but each of those wins have been at home. In fact, the home team has won each of the past eight meetings in this series, with Sacto holding a 5-4-1 against the spread (ATS) edge, while the Under is 4-2 in the past six in the series. Let’s take the Kings catching the points, and we’ll go low on the total, despite the offensive outburst last time. We aren’t going to OT this time around.

To get us over the hump for our Same Game Parlay (SGP), let’s look to Sharpe to get to at least 33 combined points, rebounds, and assists. He went for 26 in the OT win, and he had 35 points Sunday against the Golden State Warriors prior to that, so he’ll do a lot of heavy lifting with his points. He is averaging 24.3 PPG in seven December games, while averaging 4.1 PPG and 3.4 APG.

Los Angeles Lakers (-118) at Los Angeles Clippers (+100) | O/U 229.5 (-110/-110)

The Lakers (19-7) and Clippers (6-21) are no longer roommates, as the Clips are big boys now and have their own arena, the Intuit Dome. I think that stands for it’s expensive to get ‘into it’, even with the poor product on the floor.

The Lake Show has won and covered the past four meetings, including a 135-118 at Crypto.com Arena on Nov. 25, covering a 5.5-point number as the Over (228) cashed. Luka Doncic carved up the Clips with 43 points, 13 assists, and nine boards, just missing the triple-double. LeBron added 25 points, while adding six boards and six dimes.

For the Clippers, Ivica Zubac had 10 points and 10 rebounds, as he just keeps on keeping on. James Harden never met a shot he didn’t like, jacking up 21 attempts, making nine, while finishing with a team-best 29 points and three triples on 12 tries.

The Lakers have won three of the past four games, while also going 3-1 ATS in the span. They’ve alternated the Over and Under in each of the past five outings, but the Over is 8-2 across the past 10 outings, and that run started Nov. 25 against the Clips.

The Clippers have dropped five in a row, while going just 1-10 SU in the past 11 games. What a disaster. However, at least they have a fancy arena with super expensive seats! The Clippers are also 3-8 ATS in that 11-game slide, too, while the Under is 4-2 in the past six outings.

Back the Lakers laying the points, and find all of the money you have in your change cup in the car, the seats of your couch, etc. Empty the account straight up, but we’re looking at SGPs, too. We’ll take the Over, as the Clippers play zero defense, and the Lakers will run roughshod over them.

Let’s also take Luka to get to at least 30 points, and Zubac to record another double-double. Let’s go with Harden to go Over 37.5 on Pts+Rebs+Asts, too, just to get into four figures.
