The NBA In-Season Tournament takes a break this Wednesday, with the rest of the losers finally getting some love after a couple of days off. That means we’re treated to a big 11-game slate, giving us plenty of options for the Same Game Parlay article. SGPs are pretty simple. Pair together multiple bets to increase your odds. Get all legs correct, and cash out.
Here are two of my favorite NBA same-game parlays for Wednesday, Dec. 5. Below we dive into Nets vs. Hawks.
Wednesday’s Best NBA Same Game Parlay Bets: Nets vs. Hawks
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Nets vs. Hawks
- Leg 1: Mikal Bridges Over 24.5 Points (-125)
- Leg 2: Spencer Dinwiddie Over 6.5 Assists (-210)
- Leg 3: De’Andre Hunter Over 13.5 Points (-130)
The highest total on the board takes place in this game and sits at 240.5. Most of that comes from the Hawks’ part, considering they are third in pace with the fifth-worst defensive net rating. Unlike the Sixers game, this one shouldn’t turn into a blowout, at least in theory, with a four-point spread separating the two teams. The last time these teams met, Atlanta won 147-145 in overtime. Let’s hope we see similar fireworks again.
Leading the way in scoring for the Nets that game, and just about every game, was Mikal Bridges. He scored a season-high 45 points in that matchup and is averaging 22.8 points per game. Atlanta has allowed the most points per game to opposing shooting guards.
The Hawks have also allowed the second-most assists to opposing point guards, which sets Spencer Dinwiddie up nicely in this one. He also had a season-high, in assists albeit, finishing with 12 the last time they met. Dinwiddie has seven or more assists in seven of his last nine games, averaging 7.8 per game.
Brooklyn has struggled mightily taking on small forwards, allowing the second-most points per game to the position. De’Andre Hunter saw first-hand when they played a couple of weeks ago and put up 25 points. Without Jalen Johnson in the fold, there are more shots available for Hunter, and over the last five games without him, he has averaged 17.2 points per game.
