Week 15 in the NFL kicks off with a high-leverage showdown in the NFC West between the Rams (7-6) and the 49ers (6-7). I'm heading the player props route tonight, where I've narrowed in on three props over at PrizePicks. If all three props hit, they'll net us a 5x multiplier.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA

Thursday’s Best NFL PrizePicks Player Predictions: Rams vs. 49ers

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think it's time to buy back and play Puka Nacua's under tonight in San Francisco. This is a massive total for receiving yards, and while it's well-warranted, I don't see him going nuclear in this high-stakes game.
Nacua has gone over this mark in five of his eight games this year, so we're going against the trends. However, the 23-year-old draws a tough matchup against a top-tier San Francisco passing defense. The 49ers come into this game ranked third in both passing yards allowed per game (182.6) and passing yards allowed per attempt (6.6) while sitting 12th in opposing completion percentage (64.5%).
Finally, the 49ers have a pretty optimistic injury report, where LB Dre Greenlaw (Achilles), S Talanoa Hufanga (wrist), and DL Nick Bosa (hip, oblique) were all able to practice on Wednesday. In what'll likely be a physical, tough divisional game with playoff implications, I'm looking to fade the offenses.
Speaking of San Francisco’s upward-trending health, the guy who has been hindered by the stars returning to the field is rookie Ricky Pearsall. After racking up 132 receiving yards in his first three games (21, 38, 73), Pearsall has only five yards on one catch and five targets during the four subsequent games!
Now you want to set his receiving total at 16.5? This feels like a no-brainer to lock in the under considering he's averaging 1.25 receiving yards per game over the last four contests. Furthermore, his longest receptions are as follows: 9, 13, 46, 0, 0, 0, 5, so it's likely that he'd need 2+ receptions for this prop to go over. I don't see Pearsall playing a huge role in this game, so I'll take him to finish with fewer than 16.5 receiving yards.
One area where the Niners are not healthy is their running backs' room. Christian McCaffrey (knee), Jordan Mason (ankle), and Elijah Mitchell (hamstring) are all still sidelined, while Isaac Guerendo (foot) is listed as questionable.
It appears that there's no better time to start working Deebo Samuel back into the run game. Samuel does have 32 carries this season for 92 yards, which equates to 2.9 yards per carry. He's eclipsed this mark in three of his 12 games this year while going for 13 or 14 rushing yards three times. The Rams' biggest weakness on defense is their inability to stop the run, as they're conceding 141.0 rushing yards per game (28th). San Francisco must attack Los Angeles' inexperienced front seven, and I think Samuel will play a part in that tonight. Give me Deebo to go for 15+ rushing yards.
