Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans

Our next contest has the makings of must-see TV, and many are favoring the side of Buffalo to open the season with a win. We are going to take the other side of that coin and back the Texans at home in what could easily be one of the most entertaining games of the slate.

The Texans are once again without Tank Dell (and Jayden Higgins). While Houston would love to have the electric receiver on the field, health issues continue to dim that light. Nico Collins and Kayshon Boutte should be able to open up the Buffalo defense for David Montgomery to make his mark on the run game.

We don't know if the Texans barely reach 21 points or get all the way up to 30. What we do know is they have a fantastic chance of falling in between.

In a close game that involves the Texans, you take Ka'imi Fairbairn. It's just what you do. Fairbairn connected on at least two field goals in all but one game last season. You can't argue with that type of success rate. Fairbairn made two field goals in every home game last season.

NFL Same Game Parlay Strategy

Same game parlays allow bettors to combine multiple markets from one NFL matchup into a single wager. The potential payout increases with every selection, but every leg must win for the parlay to cash. That makes thoughtful construction and disciplined bankroll management especially important. Here are five principles to consider when building an NFL same game parlay.

Build Around a Clear Game Script

Before selecting individual legs, decide how you expect the game to unfold. Will one team play from ahead and lean on its running game? Will an underdog be forced into a pass-heavy comeback attempt? Each selection should support the same overall prediction. Building around a logical game script creates a more cohesive parlay than simply combining several props you like.

Look for Correlated Outcomes

The most natural same game parlays feature outcomes that can succeed together. If you expect a quarterback to exceed his passing-yardage total, pairing that leg with a receiving over for one of his primary targets may make sense. A favorite's moneyline can also align with its lead running back exceeding a rushing prop if you anticipate a positive game script. Avoid combining selections that depend on conflicting versions of the game. BettingPros emphasizes pairing complementary bets and avoiding contradictory legs.

Start With Your Strongest Bet

Identify the wager you have the most confidence in and use it as the foundation of your parlay. Then add only the selections that fit alongside it. Every additional leg creates another way for the ticket to lose, so resist adding marginal bets solely to chase a larger payout. A shorter parlay built around your best analysis will generally be easier to justify than a long ticket filled with unnecessary selections.
