NFL Sunday Night Football Picks & Player Props: Eagles vs. Rams (Week 12)

NFL Week 13 Anytime TD Scorers: Eagles vs. Ravens (2024)

The Philadelphia Eagles will defend their six-game winning streak against the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood, CA.

The Eagles have been playing their best football to date. Philadelphia most recently knocked off Washington, 26-18, and earned a road win against Dallas, 34-6, in the game before.

Nick Sirianni gets a lot of hate, but he ultimately wins. Sometimes, it still feels like he makes bad late-game coaching decisions, especially in primetime, so we’ll have to pay attention to that.

On the other hand, the Rams are also red-hot. The Rams have been dominant since Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua were inserted into the lineup after both dealt with injuries early. Over the last five games, the Rams have been 4-1 and won against Minnesota and Seattle.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Rams (Game Pick)

The Philadelphia Eagles already ruled out DeVonta Smith with a hamstring injury. They’ll need A.J. Brown to step up because the rest of the wide receiver corps hasn’t done much throughout the season. Dallas Goedert is third in receiving and backup tight end Grant Calcaterra is fourth in receiving. Even Saquon Barkley has more receiving yards than Jahan Dotson.

That said, the Rams have a solid pass rush but a secondary that has played below average. The Rams have also struggled to tackle throughout the entire year. It’s why the defense has allowed nearly 24 points per game this season.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have added 25.9 points per game. While the Rams have held teams to 127.3 yards per game on the ground, they’re somewhat consistent with their run defense. The issue has always been tackling. As we all know, Barkley is great at breaking tackles and getting extra yards.

On the other hand, the Rams have added 21.3 points per game. However, Los Angeles has earned just 95.4 yards per game on the ground. Los Angeles likes to run with Kyren Williams, but he doesn’t typically break away. When the Rams need to focus on the passing game, it’ll be more difficult knowing the Eagles have one of the best secondaries in the NFL.

After all, the Eagles have allowed 173.2 yards per game in the air this season.

    Let’s take the Eagles -3.

    Pick: Philadelphia Eagles -3 (+100)

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Rams (Player Prop)

A.J. Brown has caught no more than five receptions in five consecutive games. However, he’s hit five receptions in four of those five games.

He will likely finally get over 5.5 receptions with Smith out of the game. After all, the Rams have allowed nearly 223 receiving yards and have an average secondary that just allowed 22 points to the Patriots last week.

In 2023, Brown hit this prop 65% of the time. This year, he’s done it just 14% of the time. But with Smith out, he’ll have more opportunity.

    Pick: A.J. Brown Over 5.5 Receptions (-145)
