NFL Week 3 Teaser Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

NFL Week 15 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Best Futures Bets (2023)

One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay; you add multiple legs that must all win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points like 6, 6.5, or 7 in a direction that lowers risk.

Teaser Tips to Follow

  • Never Cross over 0
  • Tease through two key numbers, ideally 3 & 7.
  • Tease games with lower totals, ideally anything 49 or less.

Below are three teaser options for Week 3, along with my Best Bet.

Jacksonville Jaguars from -8.5 to -2.5 vs. Houston Texans

Many expect the Texans to be one of the worst NFL teams this season. Rookie QB C.J. Stroud has been impressive in his first two career starts, throwing for 626 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Overall, however, this team needs a lot of work. Their offensive line is banged up, and the team announced they would be without Derek Stingley Jr. and Tavierre Thomas, both starting cornerbacks.

The Jags let a win get away from them last week against the Chiefs. I fully expect Jacksonville to come out hot while taking out their anger on a much weaker division foe. With Stingley and Thomas out for Houston, look for Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, and Evan Engram to have big games.

Buffalo Bills from -6.5 to -.5 vs. Washington Commanders

As expected, Josh Allen and the Bills came out with a chip on their shoulder in Week 2. They were up two scores by halftime and never let their foot off the gas, ultimately beat the Raiders 38-10. Look for Buffalo to carry this momentum right into Washington.

The Commanders have shocked most of the public, starting the season off 2-0. I was much higher on Washington than most people because their offense has vastly improved, with Eric Bieniemy calling the shots and many playmakers on the outside. Combine that with an outstanding defense; that’s a recipe for a successful season.

While they are 2-0, it hasn’t been as pretty or dominant as I thought. In both games against the Cardinals and Broncos, they had to come from behind to win. Luckily for them, both teams rank in the bottom half in Offensive Success Rate; now they have the Bills, who sit atop the league in Success Rate and 4th in EPA/play. With teasing the Bills down, there is no need to worry about the spread; we just need them for an outright win.

Seattle Seahawks from -6 to PK vs. Carolina Panthers

Rookie QB Bryce Young is officially out for this week’s matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, so we will see veteran backup Andy Dalton.

What makes the Seattle team so dangerous is their explosiveness on offense. The Seahawks have multiple ways to strike quickly and they can beat you in the air with Metcalf, Lockett, and JSN as well as on the ground with Walker or Charbonnet.

Carolina’s defense has been decent in the first two weeks, but they lost the best CB, Jaycee Horn, and now just lost their defensive leader, LB Shaq Thompson, with an ankle injury. I’m not sure the veteran duo of Andy Dalton and Adam Thielen can keep up with Seattle.
