Best TNF Week 15 PrizePicks Player Predictions
Aidan O’Connell OVER 203.5 Passing Yards
Aidan O’Connell has made six starts in his rookie season. His first was for an injured Jimmy Garoppolo against the Chargers, passing for 238 yards against them in Week 4. Interim head coach Antonio Pierce promoted O’Connell to the club’s starting quarterback in Week 9. The rookie has cleared 203.5 passing yards in three starts since taking the reigns, bringing his total to four times over 203.5 passing yards in six starts.
He’s averaged 215.0 passing yards per game, with a median of 223.5 in his starts. FantasyPros is projecting O’Connell to pass for 221.8 yards. Thus, the rookie is projected to clear his line for 203.5 passing yards comfortably.
Hunter Renfrow OVER 27.5 Receiving Yards
Hunter Renfrow is only an ancillary piece in Las Vegas’s passing attack. Still, he’s done his best work since Pierce was named the interim head coach, posting his four highest yardage totals in those five games.
According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Renfrow has run the fifth-most routes (84) on the Raiders since Week 9. Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers were the only receivers who ran more routes in those contests. In that five-game stretch, Renfrow has averaged 32.6 receiving yards per game, with a median of 38.
He has a good matchup this week, too. According to The 33rd Team, Renfrow has had a 90.7% slot rate this year. Meanwhile, since Week 8, the Chargers have allowed seven wideouts to exceed 27.5 receiving yards on their slot snaps alone. Therefore, Renfrow can clear 27.5 receiving yards this week for the fourth consecutive contest.
Austin Ekeler OVER 26.5 Receiving Yards
Austin Ekeler isn’t having a banner campaign. However, he’s averaging 34.4 receiving yards per game, with a median of 33.5 this season. He’s had over 26.5 receiving yards in six of 10 contests, including tallying 49 last week.
Ekeler had just over a 20% target rate on Easton Sticks’ pass attempts last week and could get peppered with targets by the inexperienced signal-caller. In Pierce’s five games as Las Vegas’s interim head coach, only two running backs have had over 26.5 receiving yards against the Raiders. Breece Hall had 47, and Isiah Pacheco had 34 receiving yards. Yet, two more backfields also accomplished the feat. Thus, Ekeler is projected to have 28.0 receiving yards.
