NFL Week 9 Teaser Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

Falcons vs. Saints NFL Week 10 Player Prop Bets (2024)

One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay; you add multiple legs that must all win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points (6, 6.5, or 7) in a direction that lowers risk.

Teaser Tips to Follow

  • Never cross over 0
  • Tease through two key numbers, ideally 3 & 7.
  • Tease games with lower totals, ideally anything 49 or less.

Below are three teaser options for Week 9, along with my Best Bet.

Miami Dolphins from +2 to +8 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Germany is in for a treat as they watch the highly anticipated showdown between the Dolphins and Chiefs.

This situational spot serves better for the Miami Dolphins. Last week, the Dolphins had the luxury of playing at home before traveling across the globe to Germany. Meanwhile, the Chiefs had to fly to Denver, play in high altitude, and fly back home to KC, then to Germany.

Reports are showing Miami players arriving on Tuesday (5 days before the game), while Chiefs players didn’t land in Germany until Friday (2 days before the game). These extra days to adjust to the time difference are a massive advantage for Miami.

As for the play on the field, this should be a one-score game either way, so getting more than a touchdown with the better offense is excellent value.

Cleveland Browns from -8 to -2 vs. Arizona Cardinals

With the Cardinals trading away Josh Dobbs earlier this week, rookie QB Clayton Tune is expected to make his first start in Cleveland.

Unfortunately for Tune, he has to travel to the East Coast, which is a disadvantage in itself, but he also has to face one of the best defenses in the league.

While playing at home, Cleveland has held opponents to a measly 186.6 yards per game and just 12.8 points per game. It’s not an ideal spot for a rookie QB making his first career NFL start.

New Orleans Saints from -8.5 to -2.5 vs. Chicago Bears

This may be the best teaser option for Week 9. Tyson Bagent and the Bears travel to New Orleans to face the Saints, which could be another ugly game for Chicago.

Last week, we finally saw this Saints offense take off. The Saints put up 510 yards of total offense while Carr put together arguably his best game as a Saint.

We saw what the Chargers did to Bagent and the Bears last week, and I expect more of the same results. Not only do the Saints have a better defense than the Chargers, but the Caesars Superdome is considered one of the toughest environments to play in as an opposing player. There is a home-field advantage in this one.

Week 9 6-pt Teaser Best Bet: Browns -2 / Saints -2.5 (-120)
