The 49ers remain undefeated, as the only NFC team to do so. They have not really been challenged yet this season, winning games by an average of 16.6 points. Jimmy Garoppolo may be the quarterback mentioned the least this season, which is because he is simply doing what he needs to and not losing games. It’s the running game that has been the highlight for this team, using a committee approach to average 179.8 rushing yards per game (second in the NFL). Defensively, they have been elite, averaging 237.4 yards allowed per game and an outstanding 150.2 passing yards per game (best in the NFL). It will be tough for Washington to get much going Sunday against this defense.

Washington got their first win of the season last week, which was a one-point victory over the Dolphins. Offensively, a hobbled Case Keenum continues to play quarterback, while both running backs are a bit banged up heading into this matchup. This is one of the worst offensive teams in the league from both a yards and points perspective, with the only bright spot being rookie receiver Terry McLaurin. Defensively, they are allowing 134.0 rushing yards per game, which is bad news with the Niners coming to town.
