College Football Week 1 Bets & Picks: Texas vs. Ohio State

No. 1 Texas Longhorns vs. No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes
Expectations are still pretty high for Ohio State, but the Buckeyes are dealing with a ton of turnover at key positions. In time, it could develop into another championship-caliber team, but in the first game of the year? There's a reason why many Power Four schools play smaller programs in Week 1.
Texas has its share of turnover to deal with as well, and it remains to be seen how Arch Manning will pan out as a full-time starter. However, the defenses on both sides will be stacked with fast, athletic players, making it hard for either offense to find its rhythm.
Arch Manning will be the better of the two quarterbacks, but he’ll need to make some adjustments as the game goes on. Sayin may be the next great Ohio State quarterback, but giving him his first start as a Power 4 QB against a Texas defense is just mean. I’m leaning towards Texas to win a low-scoring game, but I like the Under as the best bet.
