There was a lot of late-week excitement in Major League Baseball from a player prop perspective, as James Wood, Byron Buxton, and Jac Caglianone all had multi-home run games on the same day. From a pitching perspective, Chris Sale flashed his vintage form in the Mets series being one out from a complete game.

Saturday's Best MLB Player Props & Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Pete Crow-Armstrong 1+ Home Run (+235)
Pete Crow-Armstrong belted his 20th home run of the season in the team's 73rd game, after a year in which he had 10 home runs across 123 games. In the process, Crow-Armstrong became the youngest player in Cubs franchise history with 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in a single season.
Crow-Armstrong faces Mariners righty Emerson Hancock, whose 1.4 HR/9 rate this season is only slightly better than the troubling 1.8 HR/9 rate he finished with last season.
Hancock has allowed seven of his 10 home runs to left-handed batters (in only 23 more at-bats than righties have against him), and he has allowed at least one home run in five of his previous seven starts. Additionally, Crow-Armstrong's OPS is 324 points higher against right-handed pitchers than southpaws, which has me confident he will connect on his 21st home run today.

Jac Caglianone 2+ Total Bases (+190)
Based on Jac Caglianone's splits between his actual and expected batting average, slugging percentage, and wOBA to this point, positive regression should be coming for the Royals rookie.
Entering Friday's series opener, Caglianone was batting .218 with a .364 slugging percentage and .259 wOBA. Those numbers were 109, 223, and 134 points lower, respectively, than his expected numbers. And the differences in his slugging and wOBA were the fourth-largest for any batter in the majors since June 3 (min. 40 PA).
Caglianone has gone over this projected total in back-to-back games, matching the amount of times he did so in the first 13 games of his career, so we are backing his hot streak.

Juan Soto Over 0.5 RBIs (+120)
All Mets hitters are facing Mick Abel for the first time, and there are not many discernable differences to how Abel has fared against right-handed and left-handed batters so far, except in OPS. Lefties have an OPS 80 points higher against Abel, and I expect Soto to continue his hot month of June.
Soto has slashed .300/.481/.600 so far this month, and should likely have more than the single RBI he's notched in his last six games. He went just 1-for-12 against Philadelphia in the first series against the Phillies, and ended that three-game span with a .233 batting average. Soto's average has risen 17 points since June 5, and I expect him to play a big part in the team's offensive breakout tonight.
