It’s a new week in the MLB. It’s time to put together some parlays and hit the jackpot before the weekend comes around. With these parlays, I’m looking to find massive mismatches and advantages on both sides.
Here’s the parlay I came up with for Tuesday’s MLB slate.

Miami Marlins vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
Trevor Rogers will take the mound for the Marlins tonight. Rogers is a lefty that has a 4.69 xFIP with just 18.4% strikeouts and 11.8% walks. He’s been better dating back to last year but ultimately will go up against a Diamondbacks projected lineup that has struggled against lefties so far this season.
The Diamondbacks’ projected lineup has a .047 ISO and .167 wOBA against lefties. The averages amount of plate appearances for this lineup is 17, which is a small sample size but enough to convince myself. On the other hand, Humberto Castellanos will take the hill for Arizona. The righty has a 6.88 xFIP with 12.9% strikeouts and 9.7% walks.
Castellanos still has a 5.79 ERA on the year and will take on a better lineup between Jazz Chisholm, Jesus Sanchez and Garrett Cooper, to name a few.
Back the Marlins at home.
Bet: Marlins (-165 at DraftKings)
Minnesota Twins vs. Baltimore Orioles
The Minnesota Twins have one of the best rotations in baseball to start the year. One of the many stars in that rotation is Joe Ryan, who is a rookie pitcher with a 1.17 ERA on the year. Ryan is striking out over 30% of batters this season and will take on an Orioles lineup that has a .109 ISO and a wOBA of .280. Plus, the Orioles strike out 24% of the time against righties.
Although Bruce Zimmerman is on the mound for the Orioles, I still like Minnesota to earn a run or two with a lineup that includes Byron Buxton, Carlos Correa, and Max Kepler. All three of those batters have been getting on base at a high rate against lefties this season. A couple of runs should be enough.
Bet: Twins (-160 at DraftKings)
Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners
The Astros will pitch Cristian Javier, who has struck out 31.4% of batters while walking just 5.9% of batters this season. The Mariners’ projected lineup is striking out 22.3% of the time and they only have three players that have a wOBA greater than .300 in the lineup.
On the other hand, the Mariners will pitch Chris Flexen who isn’t exactly known for strikeouts. Flexen will have to take on an Astros group that has a ton of power between Alex Bregman, Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, and even Jeremy Pena.
I’m much more comfortable taking the Astros, at home, in this spot.
