Las Vegas Aces (+176) at Minnesota Lynx (-220) | O/U 183.5 (-112/-108)

The Aces (22-10) and Lynx (25-7) meet at Target Center in Minneapolis at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+ in what is the best game of the day.

Las Vegas is flying high after a thrilling 86-84 overtime victory Thursday in Indiana, covering as a 1.5-point favorite as the Under (192.5) hung on. The Aces have won four of the past five games, while also going 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in the span. The Over is 6-2 in the past eight games despite the Under against the Fever.

Minnesota is looking for revenge after a 100-97 loss at Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on June 13 in the first meeting this season, although the Lynx were able to hang on for a cover as 3.5-point underdogs while the Over (174.5) cashed. The Aces have won the past two meetings, but the Lynx are 6-2 SU in the past eight in the series since June 11, 2024, while Minnesota is 7-1 ATS in the eight-game span. The Over has cashed in four in a row, and six of the past eight meetings.

The Lynx are looking to bounce back from a stunning 89-82 loss against the Los Angeles Sparks. Minnesota was a 16.5-point favorite, so that makes it all the more shocking. Perhaps the Lynx were looking ahead to this marquee matchup. The loss halted a 10-game win streak, although Minnesota is 2-11 ATS in the past 13 outings, while the Under has a 3-2 edge in the past five games. The Over is 10-3 in the past 13 contests, however.

We’re going to back the Aces catching nearly three buckets, and let’s go Over on the total based on the series trends.

As far as the player props are concerned, Olivia Miles has been on fire in August, going for 25.5 points (PPG), 6.0 rebounds (RPG), and 5.5 assists (APG) in two games this month. While the Aces represent a little better defense than L.A. or Indiana, she is still worth playing while she is running hot.

We’ll also side with Kayla McBride to hit at least two three-pointers. The Aces are ninth in the WNBA against triples, as teams hit 34.4% from behind the arc. In Thursday’s loss to the Sparks, McBride hit three triples, and she has at least two 3-pointers in 15 straight games since June 24.

Indiana Fever (-225) at Chicago Sky (+180) | O/U 191.5 (-112/-108)

The Fever (19-12) and Sky (12-19) square off at Wintrust Arena in Chicago at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. With Angel Reese having moved to Atlanta this past offseason, this rivalry no longer has the same intensity as the past couple of seasons.

Indiana heads to the Windy City looking to bounce back from a disappointing OT loss to the Aces last time out on its home court. The Fever have lost back-to-back games for the first time since a home-and-home sweep at the hands of the aforementioned Reese and the Atlanta Dream June 18-20. Indiana has also failed to cover the past two games after a 4-0 ATS run. The Over is 6-1 in the past seven games, although the Under hung on last time out against Vegas.

Chicago picked up a 95-88 win and cover as 2.5-point favorites as the Under (187.5) cashed last time out against the Sparks. The Sky are 3-1 SU in the past four games, and Chicago has covered eight of the past nine games. The Over is on a 4-2 run in the past six games, while going 7-3 in the past 10 outings. The Over is also 14-5 in the past 19 games since June 11, a stretch which started with a 114-106 OT loss in Indiana.

We’re going to lean Sky catching the nearly three buckets, and let’s stick with the Over despite an awfully high total.

As far as the player props are concerned, it’s all about playing Caitlin Clark’s combo for points and assists. The Sky rank 11th in the WNBA with 90.0 PPG allowed, while it is so-so in defensive field-goal percentage at 44.4%. Don’t be concerned about the probable tag for Clark, as she nurses a back ailment. She has been battling the injury all season. She showed no signs of problems after going for 20 points and eight assists against the Aces on Thursday. She is averaging 24.3 PPG and 8.8 APG in the past four games.
