Saturday’s Best 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Picks & Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Palmeiras vs. Botafogo Picks & Bets
Palmeiras won Group A, despite only earning five points through three games. They scored only four goals in those three games, which was the fewest goals scored by a group winner in the tournament.
That said, Palmerias typically likes to dominate the ball and has played very well defensively up to this point.
On the other hand, they’ll take on Brazilian foe, Botafogo. Botafogo seeks quick counters and has remained disciplined throughout this tournament. They’re also hard to break down defensively.
On March 30th, 2025, Palmeiras and Botafogo tied 0-0 in a Brazilian Serie A matchup. Additionally, both teams have allowed fewer than a goal per game in this tournament so far.
Palmeiras will look to be creative. However, a mistake could lead to a counter, which is an area where Botafogo typically excels. There will be limited chances, but I’ll give Botafogo the edge. They’ve defeated Palmeiras three times over the last five games played since July 2024.
Pick: Botafogo Three-Way Moneyline (+260)
Benfica vs. Chelsea Picks & Bets
Benfica will look to pressure Chelsea early. They’ve been good offensively in the FIFA Club World Cup, adding nine goals in three games. Ultimately, the offense has run through the wings, which is an area Chelsea will need to defend well today.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has more midfield depth and will likely win the possession battle. Still, Benefica stunned Bayern Munich earlier in this tournament and could end up playing a similar game against Chelsea. Benefica is a high-scoring team, but they can try to play a little more keep-away in the first half. In Benfica’s win over Bayern Munich, they got on the board early and held on late with quality goalkeeping and defense.
Bayern Munich was resting some players and rotating many of its players. Chelsea won’t do that today. However, Benfica still has the physical endurance that could help them score an early goal and allow them to sit back and defend in the second half.
On the other hand, Chelsea lost to Flamengo in an earlier Group D game. Flamengo controlled the tempo early and gave up a warm-up call to Chelsea. Ultimately, Chelsea has played better recently, finishing the Group D stage with a 3-0 win over Esperance Sportive de Tunis. The loss against Flamengo has helped them reset. I’ll back Chelsea in the three-way Moneyline market.
Pick: Chelsea Three-Way Moneyline (+115)
