2025 NFL Draft Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions (Round 1)

We've officially reached the 2025 NFL Draft!

For some, it's just another day, but for me, it's like Christmas morning. My favorite day and weekend of the year has officially arrived. Not only will I be on the FantasyPros YouTube live stream later today to break down some of the action, but I'm also prepared to place quite a few bets on what I think will happen in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Here's my betting card for the 2025 NFL Draft.

2025 NFL Draft Betting Card

Which Team Will Draft Shedeur Sanders? - Pittsburgh Steelers (+100)

As I submitted in my final mock draft for the 2025 NFL Draft, I think Shedeur Sanders ends up in Pittsburgh with the 21st overall pick. There have been a lot of rumors and speculation that Mike Tomlin loves Sanders. Regardless of other needs, there's no bigger one than quarterback in Pittsburgh.

Total Offensive Players Selected in the First Round - Over 15.5 (-120)

My final mock draft features 15 total offensive players selected. However, I only had two quarterbacks and two running backs selected. At this point, it wouldn't be surprising if we saw a third running back or a third quarterback selected.

After all, we could see a scenario where a team such as the Browns, Saints or Giants trade back into the first round to land Jaxson Dart, Shedeur Sanders or another quarterback.

Total Running Backs Selected in the First Round - Over 2.5 (+140)

There's been a lot of buzz for TreVeyon Henderson in the first round. Some believe he could be the Broncos’ pick at 20th overall. If that's the case, I could see a scenario where a team such as the Ravens, Commanders or even the Chiefs would be intrigued by Omarion Hampton from North Carolina.

With so much love for the running backs in this class, it feels like the over on this is destined to hit.

To be Drafted in the First Round - Trey Amos (+100 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

I've been saying it for a while, but Trey Amos is one of my favorite players in the 2025 NFL Draft. He's a great athlete who is competitive and plays with great spatial awareness. With plenty of teams needing help at cornerback, I think there are too many fits for him in the first round.

I would keep tabs on the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills when it comes to Amos. The longshot would be the Arizona Cardinals (16th overall). Amos played for Cardinals defensive backs coach Patrick Toney at Louisiana in 2020 and 2021.

Malaki Starks Draft Position - Under 24.5 (-118 at FanDuel Sportsbook

I'm by far higher on Malaki Starks than any other person who analyzes the NFL Draft. Starks ended up being my fourth-ranked player overall on my top 50 big board. He can easily go within the top 24 picks of the first round tonight.

Starks had some of the most consistent tape of any player in this draft, and I believe teams will love his versatility, competitiveness and willingness to tackle in the run game. Teams such as the Arizona Cardinals (16th overall), Cincinnati Bengals (18th overall), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (19th) and Minnesota Vikings (24th overall) make a ton of sense as potential landing spots for Starks.

Position of the Los Angeles Rams First Drafted Player - Cornerback (+210 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Position of the Los Angeles Rams First Drafted Player - Tight End (+600 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

It wouldn't be surprising if the Rams ended up being a team that trades out of the first round, so a team could move up for a quarterback. That said, I'm going to give everyone two options with this pick: Cornerback and tight end.

Starting with the cornerbacks, the Rams have been viewed as a team that could have interest in players such as Maxwell Hairston from Kentucky, Jahdae Barron from Texas and Trey Amos from Ole Miss. In my final mock draft, I've got the Rams selecting Amos, and I think they could look to get younger at the position. Veteran cornerbacks Darious Williams (32) and Ahkello Witherspoon (30) aren't getting any younger. Selecting Amos gives the Rams a young and aggressive defender who is only 23.

Also keep tabs on the Rams to have an interest in tight ends. There's been some buzz in the last 24-48 hours that the Rams may be interested in moving up for a tight end (Colston Loveland) if he were to fall down the board. They've also met with Loveland during the pre-draft process.

In addition to that, they've also met with Mason Taylor from LSU, and there's been some first-round chatter for Taylor in the last week or so. It's a bit of a longshot, but it's well worth the price for what will be one of the more unpredictable first rounds of the NFL Draft in recent memory.
