With the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes in the rearview mirror, it’s time for the 2026 Belmont Stakes. The final jewel of the triple crown, the Test of the Champion, is typically the longest of the three races at a full 1.5 miles. However, the 2026 Belmont Stakes will run at the historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., rather than at Belmont Park, for the third year in a row, as renovations continue at the race's usual home. That means the distance is being reduced from 1.5 miles to 1.25 miles due to the difference in the tracks’ circumferences. Ottinho Belmont Stakes Predictions

Ottinho only has four races under his belt and just one win, but he has never placed out of the money (two thirds and a second). The win came at Aqueduct on New Year's Eve 2025. He is more of a stamina horse that can run near or at the head of the pack before launching into a strong, steady run in the final stretch. He is not going to outrun anyone or close a big gap, but he will not be the horse that tires down the stretch. His trainer, Chad Brown, is a 2x Preakness winner but has yet to win Belmont. Dylan Davis, his jockey, is one of the best in the business but is coming back from a November 2025 injury. His questionable speed is enough to not take him to win, but he looks like a great pick for exotics.
