Last year’s winner, Ludvig Åberg, won at Torrey Pines. In 2024, Hideki Matsuyama carded a final round of -9-under-par to surge atop the leaderboard at Riviera, beating the field by three strokes.
This field is once again smaller than the non-Signature Events field due to the elite qualifiers a golfer must pass to compete. 72 golfers will tee off, with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler sitting as a heavy favorite in the outright winner betting market at +340 odds.

How can we not bet on Collin Morikawa this week? He ended a multi-year win drought at Pebble Beach on Sunday. His irons were the difference-maker, while sinking several clutch putts in the final round to position himself for a one-stroke win.
Morikawa’s previous outing at Riviera carded a T19 finish. He’s available to bet at plus odds in the Top 20 Finishing Position betting market.

Hideki Matsuyama will undoubtedly be a popular outright winner pick in his return to Riviera this week. The Japanese native has been dialed in to start 2026, posting T13 finishes or better in all four events that he’s played.
Matsuyama failed to win the WM Phoenix Open for the third time in his career, shooting an untimely bogey on the 72nd hole. That would lead to a playoff loss to Chris Gotterup.
Despite no outright wins, Matsuyama’s T13-T11-P2-T8 string of finishes is exactly the type of consistency needed to warrant a Top 20 Finishing Position prop at The Genesis Invitational this week. Matsuyama ranks eighth in total strokes gained, including seventh in SG: Approach, second in scrambling, and 10th in scoring average.
He’s also top-40 in one-putt percentage and putts per round. 20th proximity and seventh on approach shots from 200+ yards are also encouraging, despite a lack of accuracy off-the-tee.
