Course History

Hovland has made six previous Masters appearances, making the cut in five of them. But the Norwegian hasn’t seriously contended at Augusta, with a seventh-place finish in 2023 and no other top 20s.

Recent Form

The streaky Hovland has yet to find his groove in 2026. In seven PGA Tour starts this year, his best finish was a 10th at the Phoenix Open. His most recent start, at the Valspar Championship, produced his first missed cut of the year.

2026 Masters Outlook & Predictions

After driving the ball well in 2023 and 2024, Hovland has slipped in both distance and accuracy off the tee. And while he’s improved his putting, chipping and bunker play, he’s still no better than average in those facets of the game. He’s still one of the better iron players in the world, but Hovland might not have the sort of all-around game that it takes to win a Green Jacket.

Hovland’s driving and short game might be major liabilities at Augusta. His Masters track record is unremarkable, and his 2026 results have been spotty. Pass.
