We've finally reached the Midsummer Classic, otherwise known as the MLB All-Star Game, which is likely the only All-Star Game left of the major American sports that features any competitiveness. That's the beauty of baseball: There's no cheating the game. Pitchers aren't going to throw any less hard, and hitters aren't going to swing any less hard. Fielders are going to make their plays, and baserunners are still going to run around the bases. Let’s dive in with our top 2026 MLB All-Star Game picks.

2026 MLB All-Star Game Picks & Predictions
American League vs. National League
The All-Star Game lets us see unique Interleague matchups we might not otherwise see, like when Aaron Judge faced off against Paul Skenes as a rookie just two years ago. Looking at these two star-studded rosters, the sportsbooks have this game priced right, with the National League slightly favored over the American League.
When you look at the starting lineups, the American League has four players who will not be represented due to injury. Aaron Judge, Byron Buxton, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Nick Kurtz will not suit up this evening. Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani appears to be the only starter who will not give it a go for the National League. That causes a trickle-down effect, as players like Tristan Peters and Ceddanne Rafaela were selected as replacements for the American League.
While they have certainly had really nice first halves of the season, just compare them to the National League outfielder reserves: Pete Crow-Armstrong, Jordan Walker, James Wood and Corbin Carroll. All four are in the top eight in National League MVP odds, while Peters and Rafaela don't even have odds listed on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Looking at the pitchers that will suit up tonight, I also give the advantage to the National League. For starters, current American League Cy Young favorite Cam Schlittler has decided that he will give himself some rest and not throw this evening. The absence of Ranger Suarez and Taril Skubal has led to Michael Wacha and Nick Martinez being selected for the All-Star Game.
While it looks like Jacob Misiorowski and Chase Burns will miss this game for the National League, their side is just so much deeper. Two of their replacements include Braxton Ashcraft and Justin Wrobleski, two pitchers I prefer to Martinez and Wacha any day.
When it comes to relief pitchers, it's hard to choose a side. But if forced, go with the side that includes Mason Miller. While the American League has some great relievers in Aroldis Chapman and Cade Smith, I'm picking Mason Miller 10 times out of 10 if I'm trying to get three outs against the best hitters in the world in an All-Star Game.
Putting all this together, plus injuries, has unfortunately put the American League side at a disadvantage. Not only is the ceiling of their starting unit lowered, but there is also a trickle-down effect that weakens their reserves against the National League.
Don’t be surprised to see the National League win this game by a few runs. For betting purposes, I'll keep it simple and take the National League on the Moneyline to win this year's All-Star Game.
Pick: National League Moneyline (-135 @ Bet365)
