Best Prop Bets Today

On top of pinpointing our top prop bets by star rating, we can take it a step further by identifying which five-star props also have a 100% hit rate over the player's last five games. You can also filter hit rates over the past 15 games, but let's not push our luck.

Jack Leiter Over 1.5 Walks Allowed

Last Week: 0-1 | Season Record: 2-2 | Best Odds: -118 at PrizePicks

Of course, Donovan Walton’s eight-game hit streak came to a halt once we featured him as our 5-star prop bet of the day. In addition to not recording a hit last Friday, he went on a four-game hitless streak. Let’s try to right the ship.

It’s slim pickings this week. The MLB prop bet cheat sheet today features 38 player props with a 100% hit rate over the last five games - with just two labeled as 5-star bets.

Both 5-star bets are pitcher props, and we’ll focus on Jack Leiter to go over 1.5 walks allowed

jack leiter walks props

The BettingPros prop bet cheat sheet likes Leiter to record at least two walks today in his road matchup against the Red Sox.

Leiter has issued two or more free passes in six straight games, including at least three walks in four of those outings. His season-high came on May 9th against the Chicago Cubs, when he allowed five walks.

The Rangers hurler has made 13 starts this season and has gone over the 1.5 walks allowed threshold in nine of them, resulting in a 69.2% hit rate to the over.

Even in the four games where he went under, Leiter still issued one walk. You have to go all the way back to August 2025 to find a start in which Leiter didn't allow a single walk.

In 51 career MLB games, including 48 starts, Leiter has allowed 115 walks, or 2.25 per outing. In the minor leagues, Leiter averaged 2.3 walks allowed over 61 games. His 67 walks allowed last season were tied for the ninth-most in the Majors, while his 31 free passes so far in 2026 are tied for the 14th-most.

All of that is a long-winded way of saying Leiter gives up a lot of walks.

The matchup does present some resistance, as the Red Sox have drawn only 191 walks - the third-fewest among all MLB teams and the lowest total in the American League. Still, Boston is getting on base via free passes an average of 2.9 times per game.

In two career starts against the Red Sox, both coming last season, Leiter issued five combined walks, including four in one outing. His splits this season also show that he has been more susceptible to walking left-handed hitters, issuing 19 walks to lefties compared to 12 to right-handed bats. Boston's projected lineup is expected to feature four left-handed hitters.

We'll trust the prop bet cheat sheet on this one. It gives this prop a 68% probability to cover with an expected value of +27%. That confidence, combined with Leiter's 9-4 record to the over on walks allowed this season, makes the over on 1.5 walks allowed worth backing.
