North Texas Mean Green at Texas State Bobcats
Texas State is 0-2 to start the season and has been dreadful on defense. They rank 136th in the nation in defensive scoring (45 points per game allowed) and 96th against the run. Jahiem White has averaged 7.3 yards per carry. Against UNLV in Week 2, he had 124 yards and a score on the ground, plus another 34 yards and a score through the air.
Two scores may be a bit ambitious, but White is the most explosive weapon on the Mean Green’s offense. His anytime touchdown scorer odds were -290 (not an advisable bet). With how poor Texas State has been against the run, I like his chances of getting into the end zone twice.

No. 7 LSU Tigers at No. 8 Ole Miss Rebels
Sam Leavitt has recorded five rushing touchdowns so far for LSU, making him a solid bet to score against Ole Miss. But if he is indeed injured, Lane Kiffin may not opt to risk his superstar quarterback in the run game.
With a juggernaut like Dilin Jones in the backfield, he doesn't need to. Jones has already recorded over half of the touches he had all of last season at Wisconsin (76) two games into the season.
To protect an "injured" Leavitt, Jones should see more of the touches near the goal line. This makes his first-half anytime touchdown scorer odds a solid play.
At the same time, I doubt Kiffin backs off using his quarterback too much; at least not until the game is well in hand. For that reason and considering how much Leavitt has been used in the run game this season, he's a good bet to score in the first half, too.

UCLA Bruins vs. Purdue Boilermakers
Wayne Knight has been one of the top scoring threats in the country so far this season with three touchdowns in each game. Of those six, only one was in the first half. But Purdue has struggled against the run so far (11th in the Big Ten). Teams have averaged 28.5 points per game against them (16th in the Big Ten).
Given his role on the offense, there is a solid chance Knight will score in the first half against the Boilermakers’ defense. The team clearly has no trouble calling his number when the offense gets in scoring range. This makes his prop to score two touchdowns a solid value play at +235.
