Week 4 has quite a few exciting top-25 matchups on its college football slate. These games include No. 1 Texas at No. 14 Tennessee, No. 4 Ole Miss at No. 21 Florida, No. 17 Iowa vs. No. 18 Michigan, No. 23 Texas A&M vs. No. 10 LSU, No. 20 Oregon vs. No. 12 USC, and No. 19 Missouri vs. No. 24 Mississippi State.
My College Football Week 3 Picks: Best Early Bets (2026) settled a perfect 3-0. Full disclosure, I did switch my pick in SMU vs. Louisville to SMU +1.5 later in the week, so hopefully, you locked in Louisville’s moneyline at -115 odds earlier in the week based on my initial recommendation.
I’m targeting three games on Saturday’s Week 4 slate that hold a ton of value in the spread and total betting markets. Let’s try to sweep the board again with three early best bets and enjoy what should be a highly entertaining slate this upcoming Saturday.

Texas (1) vs. Tennessee (14)
A top-15 SEC matchup sends Arch Manning and the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns to Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee, to take on the No. 15 Tennessee Volunteers. Since lines opened at -4.5, they’ve moved down to -3.5, while the point total has also dropped a full point from 57.5 to 56.5.
Tennessee QB Brandon Faizon has been lighting up the scoreboard with his arm and legs, racking up 9 total touchdowns, while throwing for over 550 yards and averaging 5.3 YPC for the Volunteers. The freshman signal-caller has home-field advantage but faces a Texas defense that has allowed 1 total passing touchdown while limiting opponents to 3.4 YPC and 2 rushing touchdowns, including a 4th quarter rally to beat No. 6 Ohio State in Week 2.
Texas’ offense just went through the motions against UTSA in a 30-6 win. It’s the Longhorns’ first road game of 2026, and lines have steamed toward Josh Heupel’s Volunteers as a +3.5-point home underdog.
Let’s bet Tennessee +3.5 since we’re still through a key number and get the opportunity to back a top-10 offense as a home underdog.
Pick: Tennessee +3.5 (-112)

Utah (15) vs. Iowa State
While this may not be the most exciting Week 4 matchup on paper, No. 15 Utah will have its hands full against a stout Iowa State defense. It’ll be a physical Big 12 matchup in Ames, Iowa, as the Cyclones host Devon Dampier and the Utes’ prolific offense.
Dampier’s offense rolled to a 33-0 shutout win over Utah State in Week 3. It’s going to be a big step up against Iowa State on the road. The Cyclones have allowed 3 total touchdowns in 2026, limiting No. 17 Iowa’s offense to 3.2 YPC and less than 200 passing yards.
Iowa State has forced 5 turnovers, entering this game with a +3 turnover margin. Utah’s defense also has a +4 turnover margin, although the Utes’ toughest matchup this season came against a pedestrian Arkansas offense. Opponents are logging just 2.7 YPC against Utah, while throwing only 1 passing touchdown.
This game screams under. The point total has stayed at 49.5, so we’re still through a key number. With two strong defenses on the field, let’s bet Under 49.5 between Utah and Iowa State.
Pick: Under 49.5 (-115)
Oklahoma vs. Georgia (2)
Kirbby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs have been steamrolling opponents through the first three weeks of the 2026 college football season. No. 2 Georgia has scored 45+ points in every contest, while shutting down opposing offenses, allowing a stingy 1.5 YPC and a 59 percent completion rate.
Oklahoma QB John Mateer hasn’t looked dynamic so far this season. He’s coming off a solid start against New Mexico, recording 19-25 for 238 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. However, the Sooners’ rushing attack wa stymied, with Mateer’s 10 carries only turning into 17 rushing yards. A 14-6 win against the Lobos is certainly not encouraging ahead of a road game in Athens.
We’re getting -14 on the Bulldogs at home against Oklahoma. This feels like it’s not enough, considering how well QB Gunner Stockton has played, boasting an 84 percent completion rate with 9 touchdowns and zero interceptions thrown.
Oklahoma’s defense is the strength of its roster, which is why the point total has moved down to 43.5. The spread has bumped up a half point from Georgia -13.5 to -14.0.
I’m still willing to lay -14.0 with Georgia, considering how good its defense looks against a sub-par Mateer-led Sooners offense. The Bulldogs’ offense is red-hot and will be too much for Oklahoma to contain on the road.
Bet Georgia -14.0 as my final early week best bet in Week 4.
Pick: Georgia -14.0 (-110)
