Episode Summary:

Host Matt Perrault kicks off the Thursday episode celebrating a hot streak, boasting a 3-0 sweep on the previous day’s card (hitting the Arkansas side/over and the Celtics). The sweep brings his week to a stellar 7-1 (9-2 including the College Basketball show) and pushes his overall 2026 record into the black. He jokingly anticipates a “cool-off day” but hopes to keep the momentum going.

Matt makes a couple of housekeeping announcements, starting with the winner of the Kyren Williams signed jersey (Jeff T.). He then announces a massive new giveaway for March: an autographed Penny Hardaway Team USA jersey, which viewers can win by subscribing and commenting on Daily Juice videos.

For Thursday’s slate, he turns his attention to the beginning of “Arch Madness” (the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament) and one marquee NBA game.

College Basketball (“Arch Madness”):

Drake vs. Southern Illinois: Matt targets the early 1:30 PM tip-off for the MVC tournament. He highlights a recurring trend for early-round, afternoon conference tournament games: dead, empty arenas with zero energy. Combining this neutral-court, low-energy environment with SIU’s notoriously slow pace (21-9 to the under this year) and both teams’ poor offensive metrics, he expects a rock fight. He takes a position on the Game Total Under.
Indiana State vs. Valparaiso: For the later tournament game, Matt expects fans to be in the building. He breaks down a matchup between an 11-9 Valpo squad and a struggling 4-16 Indiana State team. Noting Indiana State’s abysmal offensive efficiency (ranked 230th overall and 300th in three-point shooting), he fades the bad team. He takes a position on the Point Spread, laying the short number with Valparaiso.

NBA:

Lakers vs. Nuggets: Matt looks at the primetime matchup in Denver. Despite the Nuggets’ overall quality, he points out their underwhelming 13-15 ATS record at home this season and their tendency to play “wishy-washy” basketball as favorites. Conversely, he notes the Lakers have won and covered three straight games impressively and boast a winning ATS record on the road. Finding the line a bit too high for a Denver team struggling to cover at home, he takes a position on the Point Spread with the road underdog.
