La Liga Odds, Picks & Predictions: Week 8 (2026)

Five La Liga games will be played on Sunday and Monday. Below, I'm highlighting three of my favorite La Liga picks, including why I expect Real Betis to pick up its first multi-goal win of the season. Then I discuss why you should expect goals when Real Sociedad faces Deportivo and why Elche and Celta Vigo are in for a low-scoring match.

Here are the best bets for the La Liga Week 8 games.

La Liga Picks & Predictions: Week 8

Real Betis vs. Osasuna

At 5-1-1, few would disagree that Real Betis has the clear advantage in this match. However, while the club is heavily favored to win, with a Moneyline price around -200, oddsmakers aren't as confident in them winning by multiple goals.

This has a lot to do with the fact that Real Betis is yet to win a match by more than one goal this season. Additionally, the offense has struggled at times, producing just nine goals, tying it for the 12th-most in the league. But this is such a great matchup, I can't help but feel optimistic about the offense's opportunities.

Osasuna tied its last game, but has lost three of its last four matches by multiple goals. The club has been outscored 12-3 over that stretch, and its season-long goal differential of -7 is fourth-worst in the league.

With Real Betis allowing just seven goals so far this season, I fully expect Osasuna to be shut out. After all, that has been the result in three of Osasuna's matches this season.

Pick: Real Betis -1.5 (+140)

Real Sociedad vs. Deportivo

It almost seems too easy to predict how this match will play out, but I'm backing what seems obvious anyway. Real Sociedad has struggled to keep teams off the board in recent matches. Three consecutive La Liga teams have scored at least twice against them, and in a UEFA Europa League match on September 17th, they allowed two goals to AFC Bournemouth.

Real Sociedad has allowed 13 goals, tying them for the fourth-most in the league. Therefore, even though Deportivo has only scored two goals in its last three matches, I'm expecting the offense to wake up in a favorable matchup. This club has already scored three goals in two different matches this season.

Additionally, Real Sociedad’s offense has been mostly good this season. While they didn't score against Atletico Madrid, there's no shame in failing to score against a team tied for the third-fewest goals allowed. Otherwise, Real Sociedad has scored multiple goals in two of its last three La Liga matches.

Pick: Over 2.5 Goals (-135)

Elche vs. Celta Vigo

Both clubs have played poorly this season, yet they enter this contest having won their last match. For Celta Vigo, it was a 5-0 win over Racing Santander, while Elche beat Espanyol 3-1. While both performances highlighted that these teams have scoring potential, I don't expect many goals in this match.

Aside from that 5-0 victory, Celta Vigo has scored just three goals in six matches. This is a defensive-minded team that has scored one or fewer goals in every other match this season. But the defense has been really good. Opponents have only managed six goals, and only one team has scored more than once against them.

While Elche has scored 11 goals and conceded 17, I'm not confident the team can decipher the defensive formation of one of the best defenses in the league. But I also don't have faith in Celta Vigo's offense, even if it showed signs of life in its last game.

Picks: Draw (+230) & Under 2.5 Goals (-120)
