Sunday’s Best MLB Home Run Prop Bets
(Odds Courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Corbin Carroll (+285) & Eugenio Suarez (+390)
We are backing one of the hottest offenses in the MLB in the Arizona Diamondbacks. Over the last seven days, the Diamondbacks are third in runs scored (37), 10th in homer runs (nine) and fourth in ISO (.218).
Leading the way for Arizona are the two players we are betting on today to go long in Corbin Carroll and Eugenio Suarez.
Over the last week, Carroll leads the team in runs scored (seven), home runs (three) and ISO (.400). Suarez is right behind him with five runs, two home runs and a .318 ISO.
They face rookie Chase Dollander today, who has the potential to be one of the better pitchers in the MLB, but has gotten off to a rocky start.
In his first seven Major League starts, Dollander has allowed 26 earned runs and given up nine home runs.
Dollander relies heavily on his fastball, which averages 97.5 miles per hour (MPH). That’s great, but he has difficulty locating his pitches, leaving them over the heart of the plate at times.
If Dollander continues that trend, it will be a very short outing for him today, as Carroll is one of the best fastball hitters in baseball. Against opposing fastballs, he is batting .411 with six home runs.
Shohei Ohtani (+275)
Before going 0-for-6 in last night’s game, Shohei Ohtani was 6-for-12 with four home runs in his previous three games. We are calling a heat-check on Ohtani.
This is a perfect spot for the slugger to get back on track as he faces Yusei Kikuchi. Over his career, Ohtani has had Kikuchi's number, batting .304 with three dingers in 23 at-bats.
