Tuesday’s Best MLB Home Run Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Spencer Steer (+450) & Gavin Lux (+750)
Let's pick it up in Cincinnati, where the Cardinals (12-17) and the Reds (16-13) are set to square off in a divisional showdown. Miles Mikolas heads to the bump for St. Louis, while Cincy counters with Brady Singer. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET from the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, OH.
Mikolas has yet to give up a bomb this year over 23.2 innings pitched. However, he hasn't been sharp overall, entering the new week with a 5.70 ERA and 1.52 WHIP. This could be the spot where he gives up his first tank, as winds will be blowing out to left field at roughly 10 miles per hour (MPH) around first pitch.
I'm going to sprinkle a few bucks on both Spencer Steer and Gavin Lux to go deep tonight. For starters, the Reds have owned Mikolas in the past, as the current roster is slashing .299/.325/.558 against him over 77 at-bats.
Steer is 6-for-12 (.500) against him with a home run and a double, while Lux is 2-for-5 (.400) with a home run. Lux is on an absolute tear right now, hitting .351 with a .901 OPS in April. Steer has two bombs this year, while Lux has one. Neither guy has a huge history of hitting home runs, but considering all of the factors in this game, I think it's worth it to throw a couple of bucks on each of these Reds.
Marcell Ozuna (+270)
The Braves (13-15) captured a 6-3 victory last night, issuing the Rockies (4-24) their seventh straight defeat. Colorado turns to German Marquez tonight, while Atlanta has yet to announce a starter. First pitch is set for 8:40 p.m. ET from Coors Field in Denver, CO.
The Rockies are in shambles right now, sitting at just 4-24 out of the gate in 2025. Now they'll trot out Marquez, who brings in a 9.30 ERA and 2.02 WHIP across 20.1 innings pitched this season. The Braves, who are fifth in wOBA (.360) over the last seven days, should continue crushing the ball tonight at the hitter-friendly Coors Field. They've also enjoyed plenty of success against the Colorado hurler, slashing .345/.397/.707 against him over 58 at-bats.
Specifically, Marcell Ozuna is 2-for-5 (.400) against Marquez with a home run. Ozuna has been one of the lone bright spots for the Braves this season, hitting .313 with five big flies in 25 games. His 1.030 OPS is the sixth-best in the Majors. He's primed to deposit one into the bleachers tonight at Coors.
Cal Raleigh (+290) & Julio Rodriguez (+425)
We have an American League West clash on the schedule tonight, as the Mariners (16-12) host the Angels (12-15) in the Pacific Northwest. Jack Kochanowicz will head to the bump for the Halos, while the M's opt for Bryce Miller. This one gets underway at 9:40 p.m. ET from T-Mobile Park in Seattle, WA.
Kochanowicz hasn't been too productive in his starting role this year, going 1-3 with a 5.47 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP. The right-hander enters with a HR/9 rate of 1.71, which is the sixth-highest among today's starting pitchers. He's allowed five home runs in five starts (26.1 innings) in 2025.
I don't expect Kochanowicz to get back on track tonight, as he draws a Mariners offense that's sneakily been the best in baseball over the last seven days in terms of wOBA (.384). Seattle has blasted a league-leading 10 home runs during the last seven days. Julio Rodriguez (four home runs) and Cal Raleigh (10 home runs) have each hit one bomb over the seven-day sample size. Each slugger has performed well against the Los Angeles starter, each going 2-for-2 (1.000) against him. Rodriguez has a double, while Raleigh has gone deep against Kochanowicz. I'll bet both Mariners players to touch’em all tonight.
