Nathan Eovaldi Over 18.5 Outs Recorded (+125)

There have been times this year when Nathan Eovaldi looks untouchable, and times when he looks vulnerable. Length remains a steady strength, though. The Texas right-hander battled through at least six innings in 14 of his 22 starts in 2025, and he has now done the same in nine of his 13 starts in 2026. Career-high marks in chase rate (36.1%) and whiff rate (30.0%) have helped Eovaldi escape jams unscathed.

The matchup on Sunday night is what makes wagering on Eovaldi to go beyond 18 outs worth the added risk. The Red Sox have hit the fewest home runs against right-handed pitching (41), averaged the third-fewest pitches per plate appearance (3.78), and registered the fifth-lowest OPS at home (.690). Damage on the scoreboard and high pitch counts are how offenses force starters out of the game. Boston struggles on both of those fronts.

Max Meyer Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-114)

Props in the strikeout department are as much about the guys at the plate as they are the guy on the mound. Pittsburgh’s offense has posted the highest whiff rate (26.9%) and the highest strikeout total (658) in the National League. The Pirates have struck out 10 or more times in four of their previous seven contests. They are an aggressive and swing-happy squad, which is why they’ve been a reliable target for bettors day in and day out.

Miami’s Max Meyer will face Pittsburgh on Sunday. The 27-year-old has been a dependable force in the rotation, logging a 2.85 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 14 starts. It should be emphasized that Meyer checks in 14th among qualified starters with an average of 9.80 strikeouts per nine innings. Overall, he has tallied at least six strikeouts in four of his six road outings. Expect him to exploit a favorable draw at PNC Park.

Matt Chapman to Hit a Home Run (+810)

Matt Chapman is on an absolute tear. The San Francisco third baseman has slashed a ridiculous .441/.533/.941 with five home runs and 18 RBI in June (11 games). Nick Kurtz of the Athletics is the sole player with more long balls in that span (6). Take note that Chapman also boasts the league’s 14th-highest on-base percentage during home clashes this campaign (.409). Working deep counts forces opposing pitchers to throw him a ball in the zone.

Up next for Chapman is a showdown with Chicago’s Colin Rea. The veteran righty has surrendered a homer in six of his past nine appearances and ranks 346th out of 369 qualified arms in barrel rate (12.7%). Not only that, but Rea has recorded a disastrous 11.66 ERA and conceded five blasts in three career starts at Oracle Park. Chapman has a great shot to stay hot on Sunday, especially since he is 5-for-8 with a jack versus Rea.
