(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Daylen Lile (+490)
Daylen Lile has hit a .263 ISO and a wOBA of .381 against his last 85 righties. He’s hitting further down in the lineup lately for the Nationals, but he’s still showing off his power. Lile has hit 44.3% of fly balls with a 14.8% barrel percentage against righties in the last month.
Today, he’ll take on Grayson Rodriguez of the Angels. The right-hander has allowed a .257 ISO and a wOBA of .399 against his last 81 lefties. Those lefties have hit nearly 51% of hard contact and 37.7% of fly balls against Rodriguez.
Therefore, I’ll roll with Daylen Lile to slug one out today.
Max Muncy (+390)
Eury Perez is set to take the mound for the Miami Marlins. The young right-handed pitcher has allowed a .220 ISO and a wOBA of .385 to his last 59 lefties. Those lefties have hit a 13.5% barrel percentage and nearly 38% of fly balls over the last 30 days against Perez.
That said, Perez will take on Max Muncy, who has smashed a .321 ISO and a wOBA of .419 against his last 67 righties. Muncy has added 37.5% of fly balls, 70% of hard contact, and a team-best 15% barrel percentage against righties over the last month.
He’s the main guy getting results against righties in this Dodgers lineup.
Pete Crow-Armstrong (+440)
Pete Crow-Armstrong is seriously about to win the National League MVP.
He’s hit a .427 ISO and a wOBA of .446 against his last 87 righties. He’ll take on Bubba Chandler, who has allowed his last 69 lefties to hit a .250 ISO and a wOBA of .344.
Chandler has also earned 26.1% of strikeouts against lefties in the last month, but he’s added just 7.1% of swinging strikes. That strikeout number is going to come crashing down against the Cubs.
Chandler has also allowed 29.5% of fly balls and 56.8% of hard contact. That’s ideal for someone as hot as Crow-Armstrong. PCA has hit 32.8% of fly balls, 67.2% of hard contact, and a team-best 19% barrel percentage against righties in the last 30 days. There’s no better hitter in baseball this year. Let’s take advantage of this matchup and grab PCA at +440.
