There are 18 teams set to take to the diamond today, and while it’s just a medium-sized nine-game slate, there are seemingly an endless number of ways to get in on the action. I'm heading to the prop sheet today, where I've dialed in on four MLB player props.

Sonny Gray Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-128)
Let's pick it up in Boston, where the Red Sox will turn to Sonny Gray to try and stop their three-game slide. Gray has been one of the few bright spots for the 2026 Sox, going 8-1 with a 3.03 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. The right-hander has been eating innings for Boston, registering at least six innings in five of his last six starts.
I like for this trend to continue against Toronto. Gray has limited their current roster to a modest slash line of .260/.374/.390 over 77 at-bats. That's a mediocre .764 OPS. The Blue Jays are just 19th in xwOBA (.304) over the last week as well. Let's ride with Gray to give us six strong innings in the matinee finale.
Joe Ryan Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-115)
Minnesota's Joe Ryan is another guy who has been a reliable starter for his team. The 30-year-old ace comes into this contest against Texas at 4-3 with a 3.17 ERA (20th) and a 1.00 WHIP (7th). Most importantly, at least for this prop play, is that Ryan has the 11th-most strikeouts (92) this season.
The Minnesota hurler has cleared 6.5 punchouts in five of his last six starts, averaging 7.8 strikeouts during the stretch. Ryan has owned Texas in the past, limiting them to 5-for-35 (.143), with 16 of those at-bats (45.7%) ending in strikeouts. This strikeout line is a tad low, so I'll be taking the over.
Juan Soto Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)
This season hasn't gone according to plan for the Mets, but $700-million dollar man Juan Soto continues to chug along and do his thing. The superstar is now hitting .297 (23rd) with the eighth-best OPS (.948).
I'll back Soto in this series opener against the Phillies. He has eclipsed 1.5 combined hits + runs + RBIs in four of his last six games, and he's ranked 14th in ISO (.260) over the last seven days.
Soto will face Philadelphia's Aaron Nola (5.86 ERA), whom he's 10-for-43 (.233) against with a .952 OPS. While the head-to-head average is a bit low, each player's current form has me interested in playing Soto here.
Martin Perez Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-120)
Atlanta will opt for Martin Perez on Thursday. The 35-year-old veteran has been sharp this season with a 2.90 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. However, he's not providing length for the Braves, as only one of his 14 outings this season has reached the six-inning mark. This has led to a low strikeout total of just 51 on the season.
Perez has failed to clear 4.5 strikeouts in five of his last seven starts. He'll be tasked with trying to navigate a Giants roster that has the lowest strikeout rate in the MLB this season (15.1%). It's also worth noting that only 18 of San Francisco's 75 head-to-head at-bats (24%) against Perez have ended in strikeouts. I don't foresee too many strikeouts for Perez in this one - give me the under.
