Thursday’s Best WNBA Same Game Parlays
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Los Angeles Sparks (+295) at New York Liberty (-375) | O/U 187.5 (-110/-110)
- Leg 1: Sparks +8.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Over 187.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Jonquel Jones to Record a Double-Double (+127)
The Sparks (12-20) and the Liberty (20-14) meet at the Barclays Center at 8:00 p.m. ET for the third time since June 21st. Los Angeles won 98-97 in the first meeting as a 5.5-point underdog, while the Liberty won 113-109 the next game also in Los Angeles, as the Sparks cashed as a 5.5-point underdog. The over cashed in each of the meetings.
After a shocking 89-82 win at Minnesota last Thursday as a 16.5-point underdog, the Sparks have been unable to carry over the momentum with a pair of losses by an average margin of 6.5 points per game. It covered the 84-78 loss at home against Golden State on Sunday, but lost 94-87 to Phoenix as a 2.5-point favorite, while the over (179.5) cashed. The Sparks are still a solid 4-2 against the spread (ATS) in the past six games, while the under is 3-1 in the past four outings.
New York was spanked 106-92 by Indiana on Tuesday as a 3.5-point underdog, as the over (190.5) cashed. The Liberty have been filling up the stat sheet, going for 92+ points in nine straight games, and 85+ in each of the past 12 contests. However, the Liberty are just 2-9 ATS in the past 11 outings, while the over is 10-2 in the past 12 games.
We’re going to take the Sparks catching more than four buckets, and let’s go high on the total, as the Liberty continues to score at a high rate, while also giving up plenty of points.
As far as props are concerned, Jonquel Jones went for 14 points and 10 rebounds last time out, while blocking three shots. She has a double-double in two of the past three games, while averaging 15.8 points and 9.8 rebounds in five August outings. Let’s take Jones to post a double-double in this one at plus-money odds.
Parlay Odds: +675
Washington Mystics (+225) at Las Vegas Aces (-278) | O/U 169.5 (-110/-110)
- Leg 1: Mystics +6.5 (-105)
- Leg 2: Over 169.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: A’ja Wilson 10+ Rebounds (-123)
- Leg 4: Kiki Iriafen 25+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-167)
The Mystics (19-13) and the Aces (23-11) meet at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino at 10:00 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video in the second end of a back-to-back.
Washington suffered an 86-76 loss on Tuesday night, failing to cover as a 6.5-point underdog, while the under (172.5) cashed. That halted a seven-game win streak and an eight-game cover run for the Mystics. The under and over have alternated in each of the past six outings since July 28th.
For the defending champion Aces, they were able to avenge a gut-wrenching 100-99 loss in D.C. on July 22nd as 6.5-point favorites, as the over (164.5) cashed easily in that one. On Tuesday night, Kiki Iriafen did a good job for Washington, going for 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Shakira Austin was good for 20 points, eight rebounds and three assists with two steals and a block. Las Vegas superstar A’ja Wilson was good for 26 points, 13 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and two steals, while Jackie Young dropped in 25 points with eight assists, and she hit four threes.
Las Vegas has won and covered three in a row at home since a 34-point loss against the Indiana Fever back on July 12th. Still, the Aces are just 3-3 ATS in the past six games, while the over has a 3-2 edge in the past five games and an 8-3 mark in the previous 11 outings. Let’s back the Mystics in the rematch, and we’ll go high on the total this time, too.
For player props, we’ll take one player from each side. The aforementioned Iriafen is a good bet on her combo prop. She had 15 points and 13 boards last time out, while averaging 13.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in four August outings. And let’s look to Wilson to grab at least 10 rebounds. She is averaging 9.8 rebounds per game this season. She pulled down 13 boards against Washington in Tuesday’s win, and she is averaging 10.9 rebounds per game since the All-Star break.
