How the Underdog Optimizer works

The BettingPros Underdog Optimizer is a free tool that grades every Underdog pick'em projection by win probability and expected value, then ranks the board so the strongest picks surface first. Underdog asks you to call each projection higher or lower — the optimizer pairs our model's projection with the consensus sportsbook line and the implied per-leg odds, so the side with real value is obvious before you add it to an entry. Filter by sport, market, side, position, or recent hit rate, then pick a Standard Entry or Flex Entry and the optimizer recomputes win probability and total expected value across the whole entry.

What makes a good prop pick?

The best Underdog entries combine a genuine projection edge with a realistic win rate. A Standard Entry needs every pick to hit, so lean on picks where our projection clears the line by a comfortable margin and recent form backs it up; a Flex Entry pays out even when a pick or two misses, so it can carry slightly more variance for the extra upside. Don't stack too many correlated picks from one game — a single bad night can sink several legs together. Spread picks across games and sports, and let the expected-value column settle ties between picks with similar win probabilities.
