Zack Wheeler has faced the Atlant Braves three times this season. In his first outing, he struck out 12 and then followed it up by striking out four and five. The Braves struck out eight times in Game 1. Four of those strikeouts came against starter Ranger Suarez.
The key for Wheeler will be pitching at least 6.0 innings. If he does, he is all but guaranteed to hit five strikeouts. This season, he has pitched 6.0 or more innings 24 times and has struck out five batters in 21 of those games. He's gone at least 6.0 innings in two of his three starts against the Braves this year. He combing for 17 strikeouts in those two games. He has experience against this lineup, and it will help him considerably today.
