Tuesday’s MLB Playoffs PrizePicks Player Predictions
The Twins led the MLB in strikeouts this season, and they have struck out at least 10 times in every game this postseason. With both those facts in mind, we're not sure why this number is so low for Javier.
Javier has struck out at least five in five of his last six starts. While he has had long stretches of four or fewer strikeouts this season, the Twins are the type of team that helps you beat your average not go below it. The Twins could chase him in the first three innings, but if he can prevent the lineup from exploding and pitch 5.0 innings, he will hit this easily.
Jose Altuve Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Altuve is 3-8 this series, and he was 2-4 in the Astros' Game 2 loss. Going back to the regular season, Altuve has hit safely in eight of his nine games. He's also recorded multi-hit games in nine of his last 16. The pitching in the postseason is better, but Altuve really is just that good of a hitter.
Tonight, he faces Sonny Gray. He is 12-36 against Gray in his career. He only has one RBI, but we believe he may be able to hit this prop on hits alone. We'll just include the runs and RBIs as a safety net.
Kremer faced the Texas Rangers once this season, and he struck out five batters. He has struck out at least four batters in nine of his last 11 games. However, Kremer has only struck out the Rangers' lineup 13 times in 57 at-bats. Those numbers certainly support the under.
The Rangers are a solid team when it comes to striking out. During the regular season, they finished 14th in the league in total strikeouts. This number is really low, but Kremer is going to be on a short leash tonight. The Orioles need to win this game. Kremer has been known to give up a lot of earned runs. If he does, the righty will be pulled and won't pitch long enough to hit this total.
