This Season: 40-43
Fading the Twins has worked remarkably well, but they have also gone against some really solid pitching. Tonight, we actually think they're going to do alright against Blue Jays starter Yusei Kikuchi, even though Kikuchi's numbers are decent this season.
The main reason we like Kikuchi's under is that he does not pitch late into games. He has not gone more than 5.0 innings since May 7, and two of his last five starts have seen him fail to pitch five full innings. He did strike out eight his last time out, but his three games before that saw him strike out just four, five and three. The Twins will chase him early, and he will end with four or five strikeouts.

Perhaps this is putting too much emphasis on what Tyler Wells has done lately, but he has been striking out batter after batter in his last five starts. Since May 13, he has struck out 39 batters, including nine in his last start against the Giants.
When he faced the Royals in early May, he only managed to strike out four in 6.0 innings pitched. However, he has looked like a different and more confident pitcher since then. Go against what he did on May 2, and expect Wells to keep his hot pitching streak going.
This number doesn't really make sense. Manny Machado has recorded multiple hits in two of his last three games, but before that stretch, he was just 1-23. He hasn't hit a home run since May 9, and he has not recorded an RBI in the month of June. He did score three runs on June 5, but that was a serious outlier since he has only scored five total runs since May 11.
This game is in Colorado, so if he gets a hold of one, he could hit this over on one swing of the bat. But Machado hasn't been hitting well, and he is just 4-21 against Austin Gomber in his career. Take the under. Even if it doesn't hit, it’s the right play.
