This Season: 27-32
Christian Javier has been solid on the mound for the Astros this season. He is 4-1 with a 3.25 ERA and has struck out 59 batters in nine starts. However, those strikeout numbers are skewed because of two 10+ strikeout games.
In nine starts, Javier has struck out more than six batters only three times. In his last outing, he struck out just five Chicago Cubs. Javier has fantastic numbers against the current Milwaukee Brewers lineup. As a whole, batters are just 2-17 against him. However, he has only struck out two. Take the under and expect him to finish with five or six.
Earlier this season, when Tanner Houck took the mound for the Red Sox, Shohei Ohtani went 0-1 with a walk against the pitcher. In that game, he went 1-4 with a single, with his one hit coming off Josh Winckowski.
While Ohtani has not recorded a hit against Houck, Houck has struggled in his last few starts, allowing 19 earned runs in five games. Additionally, Ohtani is 5-17 against the Red Sox pitchers this season. Those are solid numbers, and it is probably best to take his over in every game of this series.

Hopefully, this isn't a jinx. Nolan Gorman has hit safely in 11 consecutive games. However, his number is still only set at 0.5 because he does have eight one-hit games during that span. Gorman has never faced Reds' pitcher Brandon Williamson, but we will stick with a hot bat at a low number.
Gorman hasn't had an extra-base hit in his last five games, so if this number goes up to 1.5, it may be better just to avoid Gorman. But if it stays at 0.5, take the over.
