Monday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 47-57
Carlos Correa has hit safely in three of his last four games and six of his last eight overall. He will face Spencer Strider for the first time in his career tonight.
Strider has been great this season. He is 8-2 with 136 strikeouts in 84.2 innings. However, teams have had success against Strider of late. While they may not be winning against him, they have recorded at least seven hits against him in each of his last three starts. With Correa swinging a hot bat, this is actually a good matchup.

Reid Detmers has been on fire of late. In each of his last three starts, he has struck out eight batters, and he has only given up a combined eight hits during that span.
Tonight, Detmers faces a White Sox team that struck out just 20 times in their entire series against the Boston Red Sox over the weekend. During that series, the White Sox never struck out more than seven times in a game. This team has been able to make contact most of the season. While Detmers has been good, his last three games have been an outlier in his season.
This is a really low number. Still, this is a bad matchup for Brandon Williamson, and he isn't an overpowering pitcher. In his last start, he struck out five Colorado Rockies' batters, his most since June 2.
Williamson has struck out more than three batters in just three of his seven starts this season. The Orioles have the seventh-fewest strikeouts as a team this season. Between that and Williamson's inability to go deep into games - he's only pitched 6.0 innings once this season - we expect him to go under this number tonight.
