Monday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 51-63
Moustakas has hit safely in five consecutive games, and he gets a nice matchup tonight against the Yankees and Severino. In his career, Moustakas is 3-7 against Severino with one home run.
Severino has been a disaster for the Yankees this season. In his last two starts, he has gone just 6.2 innings and allowed 19 hits, 14 earned runs and three home runs. With Moustakas swinging a hot bat and Severino struggling, this is an easy over. If this increases up to 1.5 before the first pitch, which it seems destined to do, you should still take the over.

As has been the case throughout the entirety of this season, the Minnesota Twins lead the league in strikeouts. Because of this, taking the pitcher strikeout over total of their opponent has been a very profitable bet this season. However, Gilbert's number is too high tonight.
Gilbert has had two great outings in a row, including a complete game shutout on July 4. However, even in that game against the San Francisco Giants, the third-most strikeout-prone team in baseball, he only struck out seven. Gilbert hasn't struck out more than seven since May 20. Tonight's matchup is a good one, but this number is too high.
Davis is the Giants' leading hitter, but he has only hit safely in two of his last seven games. Since the calendar turned to July, Davis has just three extra-base hits. That means to hit this over, Davis will likely need to get two hits tonight, something that he hasn't done since July 4.
Davis will face Brandon Williamson for the first time ever. Williamson has given up 44 hits in 46.2 innings. Davis could have success tonight, but this number is too high, so the safe bet is to bank on him continuing to struggle.
