Sunday of opening weekend proved to be much more efficient than Saturday was from a prop-picking standpoint, resulting in our first 3-0 run of the season. All three of Bryce Miller, Tylor Megill, and Marcus Semien came through with their individual picks, leading us to attempt our first 4-0 on this Saturday afternoon.
Let's keep the early season hot streak going with our favorite PrizePicks player predictions for Saturday.

Saturday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
A two-time returning Guardian, 37-year-old Carlos Carrasco is far removed from the All-Star form he once showcased back in the late 2010s. Firmly amidst the twilight of his career, Carrasco's set-down ability has diminished greatly over the past couple of seasons.

The 6-foot-4 right-hander possessed a grotesque 6.80 ERA just last season while compiling just a 66:38 K:BB ratio with a paltry 6.6 SO/9. Carrasco will square off with the Twins for his second start of the season on Saturday, following a debut against Oakland in which he allowed three runs across five innings while striking out three. With the Athletics essentially manning a Minor League team, three punchouts aren't what I'd exactly call reassuring when looking toward the five Carrasco would need today. I'm firmly on the under for this one.
Michael A. Taylor has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball to kick off the 2024 season, yet despite his insurgence, he continues to be served up with low prop lines. The 33-year-old veteran is off to a 12-for-28 (.429) start with seven runs and three doubles, and he has fixated himself as a staple within the surprisingly efficient Pittsburgh lineup.
Taylor will face an opponent in Tyler Wells at PNC Park on Sunday, a fourth-year back-end starter with a career ERA sitting just under 4.00 and a 6.9 H/9. Wells has been the definition of streaky over the past season-plus, emphasized by his middling record and counting stat lines. Riding with the hot hands to kick off the campaign, Taylor's odds to add another hit to that early season line seem enticing for today's interleague bout.
The former fantasy-hype-then-disappointment Reid Detmers had a solid debut against Baltimore last week. He punched out seven Orioles across five innings while allowing just one run on a pair of hits. On Saturday, he will take on the surprise 6-2 Boston Red Sox at home for his second start of the year.
Detmers has not recorded over 15 pitching outs one time across his past five starts, and the Angels have been hesitant to keep him on the hill for extended periods for most of his career. Whether it is running into trouble or simply elevating his pitch count early, Detmers must be close to perfect to make it into the sixth inning on Saturday night. The under seems like the sharp side here.
The "fun" and "exciting" pick of the day, rookie sensation Wyatt Langford looks both the part and likely to live up to the hype that vaulted him up fantasy draft boards this past offseason. The 22-year-old is already slotted in as a Rangers' lineup regular, which will unlikely change for the remainder of the season.
Langford will get his first taste of the inter-Texas rivalry with the Astros on Saturday, set to square off with incumbent starter J.P. France. The rookie will certainly be looking to get up for this one, and it has the feel of what could/should be a high-scoring game, as it currently holds a 10.0 run line. Langford could be batting out of the three-hole on Saturday, positioning him perfectly to do some run-scoring damage.
