Saturday proved to be frustrating, as two predictions came up just short in tough situations. I relapsed into betting on the Mets, a feat I can only blame myself for. Max Scherzer looks like he may be done, and giving up a leadoff homer to Jarren Duran was no fun to watch. Ketel Marte was right there against the Reds but ended up falling 0.5 fantasy points shy of at least hitting the push. At least we evened out the day at .500, pulling Matt Manning and Nick Allen "unders" for the win. Back to a strict three-pick showing today.
Overall record: 25-23-2

Sunday’s Best PrizePicks Player Predictions
23-year-old Bryan Woo is coming off his worst performance of 2023, as he lasted just 3 1/3 innings against the Twins last week while allowing six earned runs on eight hits and recording just four strikeouts. The rookie is averaging just over five strikeouts per game over his last five starts and is now set to face one of the more disciplined lineups in the MLB in Toronto.

The rookie is averaging just over five strikeouts per game over his last five starts and is now set to face one of the more disciplined lineups in the MLB in Toronto.
The Blue Jays are currently ranked sixth in the MLB, striking out just 7.98 times per game as a team. They are also coming off of an eight-run performance on Saturday and will still be looking to avoid the sweep against Seattle. It should be increasingly difficult for Woo to provide the punchout number as listed here at home on Sunday.
I'm back on board with opposing the Mets at all costs and on tempting PrizePicks props. Carlos Carrasco has been a shell of his former self over the past few years, and 2023 has proven to be no different. He currently possesses a 5.35 ERA and will be facing one of the hottest lineups in the league in Boston on Sunday night.
Carrasco has surpassed more than five innings pitched in just one of his last seven starts, and in that time frame, he has eclipsed five strikeouts thrown just once. Boston, meanwhile, is top-10 in team strikeouts, sitting at just over eight per game. The Red Sox are also averaging over six runs per game over their last ten, and there is a strong chance Carrasco is chased early in this one.
Amidst a slump over the past week-plus, rookie sensation Elly De La Cruz has managed to score a run in each of the last two games and in three of his last five. The Arizona/Cincinnati game on Sunday holds the highest run total of the entire slate at 11.0, and the 21-year-old should find himself batting leadoff.
Despite the recent struggles, De La Cruz has continued to find ways to get on base, and his 31 runs out of 39 games played this season exemplify that. It looks like the Reds will be squaring off with an opener, Tyler Gilbert, on Sunday, in what could be a long, drawn-out bullpen game. Vegas expects the runs to be flying, so naturally, we should jump on board. The rookie scores in today's matinee.
