Today’s slate of props is a challenging one in my eyes. With that being said you best believe I’ll find three different angles to attack to MLB PrizePick slate with. A 1-1-1 split result from yesterday isn’t the best, but the overall track record is still juuuuust fine.
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for Thursday, June 15's MLB action.

Thursday's Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
This season: 33-19-3
Cristian Javier Over 31.5 Pitcher Score
He’s coming off a bit of a rough start against the Guardians, but I like Javier to rebound at home tonight, facing this Nationals squad. They are one of the worst teams against right-handed pitching on the year, with the fourth worst wRC+ (82). That form has maintained over the last two weeks as they are dead last in the metric with a 62 wRC+. Fellow Astro Hunter Brown just dominated them the other night when he fired off seven innings of scoreless ball en route to earning a win. That outing earned him a pitcher score of 43.

Javier hasn’t lived up to the postseason hype he garnered last October, but he’s still a solid starter and has cleared this score in nine of his 13 starts. The matchup here is simply too good to pass up. I’m expecting a quality start which should lead to a win for Javier tonight.
Sonny Gray Under 5 Hits Allowed
Let’s fade another poor offense. The Tigers are just as bad as the Nationals and have the third-worst wRC+ (82) and batting average (.224) against righties this season. Those rates have also been retained over the last two weeks. Seven of the last 11 right-handed starters to face them have stayed under this line. Gray has yet to face them this season, but did twice in 2022 and demolished them.
In those two starts, he combined to throw 17 strikeouts in 13 innings while allowing just one earned run and six hits. He stayed under five hits in both of those starts. In 2023, Gray has allowed six or more hits in just three of his 13 starts and owns a 3.59 xFIP, top 69% xERA/xwOBA, and 30.6% CSW% (29th best). Trust in him to keep the Tigers at bay today.
Taking a batter prop over? What has gotten into me? Well, this is listed at -140 over at DraftKings, so there’s clearly value to be had at PrizePicks right now. Acuna has been on fire all season, and I really regret not punching a +900 NL MVP bet on Ronald prior to the year. He is now the odds-on favorite to take home the award.
Tonight he and the Braves take on Kyle Freeland and the Rockies. Acuna is 3-8 with a home run against Freeland. Unsurprisingly, he rates extremely well against Freeland’s four primary pitches. He has eclipsed this mark in nine of his last 13 and is 22-59 with six doubles and four homers over this span. Even if Acuna doesn’t get this done against Freeland, he should be able to versus this Rockies bullpen that is fourth worst in terms of xFIP.
