It’s a fun-filled Monday in the MLB Playoffs!
The Philadelphia Phillies hold a 3-2 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLCS. Philadelphia will play Game 6 at 5:07 pm ET as they look to to clinch a World Series berth.
Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers-Houston Astros matchup is for all the marbles in the ALCS. As we watch Game 7 in Houston, the winner of tonight’s outing will clinch their spot in the World Series.
We could have our World Series matchup by the end of tonight.
Here are a few same-game parlays to consider for this MLB Playoffs slate.

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Arizona Diamondbacks at Philadelphia Phillies
- Leg 1: Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
- Leg 2: Bryce Harper Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
- Leg 3: Brandon Marsh Over .5 Hits (-140)
We’re going to attack Merrill Kelly again. Kelly pitched in Game 2 of the NLCS and allowed three home runs in 5.2 innings. The right-hander only gave up three hits, but those three hits were homers and they add up.
Kelly also struck out six but walked three, finishing with 89 pitches and four earned runs.
The right-hander has allowed a .323 ISO and wOBA of .346 to his last 36 lefties. He’s also allowed 25% of line drives and has induced only 37.5% of ground balls. He’s not very good against lefties.
Therefore, let’s attack with lefties who have hit righties hard recently.
Kyle Schwarber has smacked a .447 ISO and wOBA of .413 against his last 41 righties. He’s even struck out just 22% of the time against righties in the previous 30 days, which is not typical for him.
Meanwhile, fellow lefty Bryce Harper has hit a .519 ISO and wOBA of .608 against his last 37 righties. He’s another option for a long ball against Kelly.
Finally, Brandon Marsh, who will likely bat near the bottom of the order, has hit a .243 ISO and wOBA of .371 against his last 41 righties. He’s another left-handed hitter who has hit righties well lately.
Let’s attack Kelly with lefties. The Phillies defeated Arizona 10-0 when Kelly last took the mound in Game 2.
Parlay Odds: +707
Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros
- Leg 1: Jose Abreu Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
- Leg 2: Evan Carter Over 1.5 Total Bases (+145)
- Leg 3: Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100)
I expect runs in tonight’s Game 7 between the Astros and the Rangers. Sure, Christian Javier and Max Scherzer will both have a short leash. If they’re struggling, they’ll be out of the game. But the damage would already be done at that point.
Scherzer allowed a .250 ISO and wOBA of .414 in his first start against the Astros. He went four innings and allowed five runs with one home run. The right-hander also walked one and struck out four.
Scherzer is a flyball pitcher. That’s the scary thing with him. He’ll give up power and rarely earn ground balls. Against the Astros, he earned two ground balls and allowed ten fly balls. Some just missed getting out of the ballpark.
Yordan Alvarez has hit a .533 ISO and wOBA of .508 against his last 49 righties. Jose Abreu has hit a .288 ISO and wOBA of .361 against his last 56 righties. Both have plenty of potential against Scherzer, who loves to allow power and fly balls every game.
On the other hand, Christian Javier has allowed a .191 ISO and wOBA of .349 to 399 batters this season. Javier, like Scherzer, rarely gets ground balls and gives up plenty of fly balls. Against lefties, he allowed 36% of fly balls and 29.9% of ground balls.
Evan Carter, a lefty, has hit a .319 ISO and wOBA of .463. He’s been the most consistent lefty in the lineup for the Rangers. Yes, even more consistent than Corey Seager.
Parlay Odds: +1190
