Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers picked up a win last night after the loss on Friday to settle this series with a rubber game. They've started to pull away in the National League Central, and while it does have a lot to do with their talent, it helps they have played 25 games against division opponents, more than the Cubs (25), Pirates (17), Cardinals (17) and Reds (15). They're proving to have a top-notch lineup, being third in on-base percentage (OBP) and sixth in runs scored, but they’re still striking out a lot at 23.1% this year, just 0.1% better than last season. Colin Rea has been their best starter, leading the rotation in WAR and ERA; he's been fantastic lately, with a 1.64 ERA in the last four appearances.

The Reds have played excellent baseball over the last couple of weeks. They are 9-3 in their previous 12; in that time, they are fourth in average and slugging, and seventh in ERA. There is a lot of talent in that lineup, and we're seeing Jonathan India hitting .294 in that span, TJ Friedl hitting .310 with 12 RBI, Jake Fraley hitting .333 and Jeimer Candelario being their top hitter batting .340 with six home runs and 12 RBI. It's been an inconsistent year for Frankie Montas; he has two starts going at least six scoreless innings but has also given up at least three earned runs in his last four starts, including four in just 1.1 innings in his last start.

Total Bases: +675

Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners

The Mariners are on the verge of sweeping the defending champions and pushing their lead in the American League West even further from 7.5 games. Seattle has the best pitching staff in that division and one of the best in the league by leading in WHIP and being second in batting average against. They also lead the league in quality starts, and Logan Gilbert has the second-most quality starts in the league, tenth in WHIP, and in the 95th percentile in pitching run value.

The Rangers are dealing with injuries, specifically in their rotation. Now is not the right time to judge them with an ERA that is 16th, 14th in quality starts, and WHIP that is 18th, especially when Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom will return shortly. Dane Dunning's tenure with the Rangers has not been great. Over the last four seasons, he is 25-30 with a 4.23 ERA, and last year, he was demoted to the bullpen, but with the injuries, they need him in the rotation.

Gilbert has more numbers against the Rangers than Dunning does against the Mariners, which will help Seattle grab those brooms.

Total Bases: +418
