San Francisco Giants vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
- Leg 1: Brandon Lowe Over 1.5 Total Bases (-115)
- Leg 2: Oneil Cruz Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100)
- Leg 3: Blade Tidwell Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-172)
The San Francisco Giants will roll with Blade Tidwell for today’s afternoon matchup. He has been solid against righties as a right-handed pitcher, but he’s struggled against lefties. Over the last month, he’s allowed a .235 ISO and a wOBA of .401 to his last 60 lefties.
Brandon Lowe and Oneil Cruz should take advantage as left-handed hitters. Lowe has a .236 ISO and a wOBA of .405 against his last 63 righties, while Cruz has added a .375 ISO and a wOBA of .499 against his last 30 righties.
Additionally, the Pirates will likely have only three righties in the entire lineup today. Tidwell has struck out 27.7% of righties, but only 13.3% of lefties over the last month. I’d expect his strikeout rate to stay limited against the Pirates.
Parlay Odds: +441
Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners
- Leg 1: Dominic Canzone Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
- Leg 2: Julio Rodriguez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)
- Leg 3: Cal Raleigh Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140)
The top of the Seattle lineup has destroyed right-handed pitching over the last month. The good news for the Mariners is that they’ll face right-hander Jack Perkins tonight. The righty has allowed a .247 ISO and a wOBA of .402 to his last 101 batters faced. Beyond that, he’s given up a .339 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) with 47% of hard contact and almost 38% of fly balls.
Dominic Canzone has a .203 ISO and a wOBA of .334 against righties as a left-handed batter over the last month. Cal Raleigh will also bat from the left side, where he’s earned a .425 ISO and a wOBA of .445 against his last 50 righties.
Julio Rodriguez has launched a .231 ISO and a wOBA of .333 against his last 72 righties.
All three should take advantage of Perkins, who has struggled against both sides of the plate over the last month and throughout the season.
Parlay Odds: +1001
