Woo returns to the rotation for the Mariners after a stint on the IL due to a hamstring injury. He made one rehab start in the minors, throwing just 45 pitches. Seattle’s young right-hander has been dealing with injuries throughout the season, so a limited pitch count, perhaps around 65 pitches, seems likely. He has failed to go over this mark in five of his eight starts, including once against the Angels. The Halos struck out just twice across his six innings of work in that one. They are 20th in K% against righties over the past two weeks.
The Yankees ace hasn’t looked like himself just yet but has managed to find some strikeouts. Cole struck out eight and six in his two most recent outings, firing 90 pitches in each start. In his first start off of the IL, he had five strikeouts against the Orioles on just 62 pitches. Now fully up to speed, he should be able to make his way to at least six, even in a tough matchup with the Orioles. Cole eclipsed this mark in 21-of-33 starts last season.
This is obviously not the best price, but it still holds value. Tyler Anderson has been a walk machine over the past two seasons and ranks in the bottom 15th percentile in BB% amongst starters this season. He has issued two or more free passes in 13-of-18 games this year, and 20-of-25 last season as well. Anderson faces the Mariners who have the ninth-highest BB% (9%) against lefties this season.
