With three playoff berths clinched last night, slowly but surely, we are creeping our way to finalizing the playoff picture. The final two Wild Card spots in each league are still very much up for grabs though. Here are three of my favorite player props for Wednesday, September 25.

Wednesday’s Best MLB Sleeper Picks Player Predictions
Sleeper Record: 215-129 (62.5%)
Eflin is an elite control artist, ranking in the top 98th percentile in BB%, and we’re getting a 2.04x price. The math ain’t mathing here. Yes, it is the Yankees, who walk a ton, but Eflin has held them in check. New York’s roster owns a .290 xwOBA and a 7.1% BB% across 212 combined plate appearances against him. Eflin has stayed under this mark in 25 of his 27 starts this season, and 25-of-31 last year.
It’s a meaningless start for Gausman, but there’s no doubt he wants to end his season on a high note. He was showing out in his last appearance against Texas until back tightness ensued. If it were that bad, they wouldn’t be throwing him out there for today. Gausman had a no-hitter through five innings against the Rangers and finished with six punchouts. He faces the Red Sox, who are 29th in wRC+ (75) and fifth in K% (26.1%) against righties over the past 30 days.
Arizona’s ace hasn’t had his best stuff this year but has started to find the strikeouts again more recently. Gallen has found seven strikeouts in five of his last six starts and now draws as friendly a matchup as possible taking on the Giants. They are second in K% (27.1%) and 24th in wRC+ (85) facing righties over the past 30 days. San Francisco’s roster has a 26.9% K% across 130 combined plate appearances against Gallen.
